He took a longer look at Kayden and his eyes widened in realization. "Claire who is his father" he asked again but this time in a softer voice I felt a tear roll down my cheek and Kayden turned around and gave me a hug. "Mommy don't cry" Kayden said Jacobi ran his hands through his hair exasperatedly. He stared at me with raised eyebrows and I only nodded my head in reply. "Impossible" said alpha Duncan in disbelief " lycans cannot have children with humans" Jacobi knelt down to Kayden's level, but even though he was kneeling, he was still way taller and bigger than my five years old son who was already at my waist level.

If I hadn’t sent her to Ace’s house, Lydia wouldn’t have killed her.” Axel’s heart clenched at the raw pain in Ethan’s voice. He shook his head, trying to remain strong for his friend. "You didn’t kill her, Ethan. Lydia did. And now, we need to make sure she pays for what she did.”

"Hold on, you mean she went on a pack trip without me?" "Yes. Without you." Elyan replied rubbing salt to my wounds. "It really isn't fair." I tightened my fists into balls as Elyan left. "Looks like we have both been betrayed by the ones we love most." Tank said in a daze. "And they are both called Lyra." He added. "Look, don't compare them both. They are entirely different people." His suffering had left him quite weak to the point that standing up alone was a great task for him. Ethan marched Axel to the center of the room, too, and kicked him to his knees before the whole room. “I promised I'd find Logan wherever he was. I'm happy to fulfill that promise.” He said and then turned to Elena. “Hello, love. It's nice to see you again.” He smiled mockingly. Elena was beside herself with rage. Her veins threatened to pop as she stood there rigid and stiff with her world crumbling before her very own eyes. Elder Darius started clapping slowly with a grin etched on his face. The other elders Joined in and before long, the whole room was clapping for Ethan.

She was almost unseen in the crowd until Ethan's bodyguards gave her some breathing space. Ethan's arm was still extended, awaiting Lyra to hold onto it. Lyra furrowed her brows and grabbed his hand unwillingly to avoid more drama and get the hell of there. She was damn tired and frustrated. Ethan gorgeously smiled, pulling her to her feet.

Her protective instincts kicked into high gear, fuelled by the revelation of Ethan's actions. "That despicable fucking arsehole," Maya seethed, her voice dripping with venom. "He won't get away with this. What are we going to do about him?" Lucian's response dripped with venomous condescension, his tone slicing through the air like a sharpened blade. "Yes, Lyra, what are you going to do about... Ethan?" The name rolled off his tongue, like it left a bitter taste in his mouth. The contempt in his sneer only stoked the flames of fury within me, but I refused to let his words chip away at my resolve. I held my ground, meeting his eyes with an unyielding determination.
