Lila said, waggling her eyebrows. Evelyn snorted. “Please. Look at me. I have paint in my hair and haven’t slept in three days.” “You’re gorgeous and you know it. Also, men like him don’t wander into Brooklyn cafés by accident.” “Maybe he likes coffee.” “Girl. He has people who get his coffee. People who have people.” Evelyn pulled the card from her pocket, turned it over in her fingers. “He said to call when I decide on a price.”

A Bride For The Blind Billionare

A Bride For The Blind Billionare

Benedict's words hung in the air as Evelyn slowly rose to her feet, her legs still trembling. The luxurious room around her came into focus – mahogany furniture, silk curtains, and artwork that probably cost more than she'd earn in a lifetime. This was definitely an Easton residence. "Please, sit again," Benedict gestured to a nearby armchair. "You look like you might collapse again." Evelyn sank into the plush seat, acutely aware of Adam's presence by the door. Though he had saved her from Grace, she still wasn't sure if she could trust him. Or anyone, for that matter.

My Stubborn Heart-Stealing Ex

My Stubborn Heart-Stealing Ex

Either way, it seemed impossible for them to hold a proper conversation. She remained on the living room sofa outside, still awkwardly applying the ice pack to her face. After a while, she saw him coming out with two plates of food. Evelyn quickly got up and tidied the coffee table in front of her. She and Helena shared this apartment, which was just a simple two-bedroom, and there was no formal dining area. They typically had their meals at the coffee table. Once she had finished clearing the coffee table, Evelyn set down the ice pack and hurried into the kitchen to get some plates for the rice. She didn't prepare the dishes herself, so she felt that these little things were something she s

Particularly considering how poorly she herself had slept the last couple nights after witnessing that fiercely hostile altercation between Andrew and Charlotte James. Recognizing Evelyn needed far more help than usual today, Lily butted in at the stove. “Why don’t you sit down?” With an uncharacteristic kitchen efficiency mostly born of excitement, she worked her way through the artfully packed cabinets. Coffee mugs, counter. Pour. Boiler pan, sink, tap on. Teaspoon from the drawer, sugar from the pantry. Stir. Setting a mug of hot coffee on the table before Evelyn, she turned off the water and set the pan on the stove to heat its mundane contents. “You do understand you’re having lunch wit

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

Her Ex-husband's Deception

Her Ex-husband's Deception

“I’m glad we’re doing this. You deserve my undivided attention for once.” She reached across the table, her fingers intertwining with his. “I know how much you care about your family, but it’s important to take care of yourself too. And I’m here to help with that, so you can let yourself go.” They continued their walk, eventually making their way to the Tower of London. As they wandered through the historic fortress, Evelyn’s curiosity was piqued by the stories of the Crown Jewels and the legendary ravens. “Can you imagine living in a place like this centuries ago?” Evelyn mused as they walked through the ancient corridors.

Married Twice, Loved Once

Married Twice, Loved Once

At the same time, in Damian Cross’s sleek, glass-walled office, the air was ice-cold. The hum of the city below barely reached the top floor where Damian sat, reviewing profit charts that couldn’t distract him from the emptiness in his chest. A knock came at the door. “Come in,” he said without looking up. Evelyn, his personal assistant — elegant, confident, and always too composed — stepped inside with a tablet in her hand. “Sir, there’s something you should see.”

The Billionaire's Private Arrangement

The Billionaire's Private Arrangement

Evelyn’s POV The morning sun shone across the Blackwood estate in golden stripes, reflecting against the tall windows, but it felt harsh to Evelyn. Too sharp, too bright. She sat at the long breakfast table, staring at the spread the staff had laid out, steaming hot croissants, a silver pot of coffee, bowls of fresh fruit, and felt no hunger. Her stomach growled instead. The neatly folded newspaper lay directly in front of her, and though she’d tried to ignore it when the butler placed it down on the table quietly , the bold black headline drew her attention.

The Billionaire's Proxy Bride

There was a brief, unreadable pause before Evelyn smiled again, the kind of smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Well,” she said, “the more the merrier, as I always say.” And before anyone could reply, Evelyn had already taken Lena’s arm. “Come, darling. You’re right in time for dinner.” As they entered the dining hall, the transformation from hallway grandeur to old-world splendor was breathtaking. A table long enough to seat twenty stretched across the room, dressed in ivory linen and gleaming cutlery that reflected the chandelier’s golden glow. Crystal goblets shimmered under the light, and candelabras flickered faintly, casting soft shadows on the muraled walls.

Mafia Lord’s Sinful Desires

Mafia Lord’s Sinful Desires

Evelyn sat at a cozy table in the corner of the café, sipping her favorite herbal tea. It was the cafe which brought back some memories but she didn’t feel haunting anymore. The past month in London had been a refreshing change. The city’s vibrant energy and the close company of Jack and Sia had helped her forget the bad memories and focus on the present. She glanced across the table at Ethan, who was engrossed in a book. Jack and Sia arrived moments later, bringing their usual warmth and laughter. As they settled in, Evelyn’s phone rang.

woman who didn’t belong in a place this elite. Julian stepped forward with his chin lifted arrogantly. “Are you lost, Evelyn?” Evelyn turned to face him without flinching. “No. I was invited.” Selena walked up, her eyes scanning Evelyn from head to toe. “Invited? By who? The janitor?” Julian chuckled. “Seriously, Evelyn. This place doesn’t suit you. You look like you're trying too hard.” Selena’s gaze narrowed on the handbag Evelyn carried. “Oh my God… is that the latest Stone collection? How could you possibly own something that expensive?”
