Once Rejected, Now Desired

Once Rejected, Now Desired

"It's totally stupid. It's basic human decency to be polite to everyone, including your subjects." Okay, I had to steer this away from making it a touchy subject. "That's the trope of the book. There are several tropes in literary writing and this is one of them. Where she meets the arrogant Prince who thinks she's not up to his standards but ends up falling for her when he sees her for who she truly is and changes his idea of people. The characters develop for the better so it's a win win situation." He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. It's a stupid trope."

The story is good. But when is the next update? It's frustrating to read a good story, then NO updates for days. This is a costly site to read from & nothing like spending $ to hit a road block and no updates.

My Forbidden Mate

My Forbidden Mate

he reassured me, his words a comforting embrace. Returning home after our meal, the warmth of the staff's gratitude for our thoughtful gesture brought a sense of fulfilment, if only momentarily, to my troubled heart. That evening, while engrossed in a movie, I couldn't shake the feeling that it mirrored my own life. The protagonist, a trophy wife like myself, contributed nothing, and as the plot unfolded, her husband began to view her as a liability. Their eventual separation led to hardships, leaving me pondering the possibility of a similar fate.

The Lost Legacy

The Lost Legacy

His voice was calm, but his disdain was sharper than a blade. “She’s right,” he said, his tone heavy with contempt. “A man without career, without dreams, is worse than a beggar. At least beggars fight for survival. But you?” His lips curled in disgust. “You’re content living off scraps. If not for my daughter’s foolish decision, you would be sleeping on the streets. Tell me—what face do you have to sit at my table?” Every word struck like a whip. Ethan's jaw tightened. He forced his breath steady. He knew better than to speak. No defense he gave would matter. No matter what, to them, he was useless.

When Wrong Target Meets True Love

When Wrong Target Meets True Love

Hmm, her considerations were quite thoughtful. Seeing that Rolando was no longer angry, she said unhappily, "Do all the men nowadays like to cheat? I heard Manager say that not only is Toby's wife beautiful, she also has a good job. But Toby is not satisfied with it, and still wants to be with others, is this a man's basic character? " "You can't say that. Someone like Toby is despicable, he cannot represent all men." "But now men have cheated just because they have some money. Too many examples."

Harvey York's Rise to Power

Harvey York's Rise to Power

“What does it matter if he does? He can only hold tight to his green hat and watch his wife cheat on him! He’s even afraid of losing the privilege!” “If it weren’t for his wife, how could he be that person’s representative? No way!” “That man has so many talented subordinates. Some guy who sells his wife out to get ahead, and yet he thinks he’s so amazing? What’s wrong with him? Maybe he hasn’t even seen that person’s face yet!” “Who do you think you are? A proxy?” “Look at Manager York from the Yorks! That’s a genuine proxy. He’s a man of his words. You’re nothing!”
