Everyone Here Is Lying Novels & Stories

POV: Harper Silence fell between us, Liam and the others couldn’t say one word. I lost appetite and nothing else matters to me right now. He lied to me again. He looked me in the eyes and lied his ass off. Everyday we sit and talk about our future, we laugh, play different games, even involving our baby in our plans for the future.

The black suit he had worn earlier was now draped over the chair. “Drink. Shouldn’t we enjoy today?” He looked at me and then moved to the chair across from me. Watching him, and unwilling to show fear, I sat down across from him. “Everyone believes what we’ve said.” I let out a small, voiceless laugh. “Turns out lying can feel enjoyable.” “If there are people who’ve never lied, then they’re fools. Not every lie is bad.” And then he smirked as he took a sip of wine.

’ Ria asked. ‘Of course, I trust you, Ria,’ I thought back to her. ‘So, don’t overthink about what they say right now, because all of it is nothing but a lie. We’ll leave this pack anyway, so let them be.’ I could feel her shrug. She was right. None of them could be trusted; they were all lying.

That was his first lie since he reappeared—and Layla knew there’d be many more. “I don’t think she’d be happy if I divulge to just anyone where she is now.” “Of course,” he said, and she knew that he was grinning his usual grin at that moment. He grinned when he knew that he was being lied to. And Lillian may be a good actress, but it was obvious that she was lying. Allan probably knew that she had a job, so why the heck would she be in the province at this time? “I’m basically a stranger to you. But not to Layla, so please tell her I was here. I’m sure she’d be happy to hear that.”

“He's been lying to everyone this whole time!” “No.” Eira said and quickly crouched down in front of her husband, her palm on his face as she nudged him gently to look her in the eyes, “They have all been lying to you. The council, the guards, the Beta General, Elder Miriyam, the pack members. All of them. They all knew.”

Nobody breathed. Heather’s eyes went huge. “Oh,” she squeaked. Zane’s mouth fell open. “Oh no.” Jessica made a strangled noise. “Oh YES.” Melody, flat on her back on the floor: “You couldn’t wait one hour? Seriously?!” Liam scrubbed a hand over his face. “Okay,” he said. Calm. Controlled. Absolutely lying. “Everyone stay calm.” Baylee squeezed Collin’s hand, panting through the aftershock. “Collin?”

It was obvious that he was asking for everyone’s attention and all eyes were on him. "Tell me," Jason started, his eyes searching every face. "How many of you knew? And don’t you dare lie to me." He knew he didn’t need to get any more specific. He knew the table talked and the story of his discovery was going to be at the top of the list. Everyone glanced around, wondering if they should continue to lie, or just give in. Everyone raised their hands. Jason scoffed in disbelief. These people were supposed to be his friends, and here they are, proving they are anything but…

Willa argued but Lance shook his head sadly. "He lied to you and ordered everyone else to do the same." Lance responded. "Who knows?" I asked. "Smith, Joe, Stacy, Lydia... a few of the others." he answered and I felt like I had been punched in the gut. Lydia and Blaise both lied to us? Willa and I exchanged a look.

I said angrily. "I don't believe any word that comes out from this mouth of yours." "Well I don't lie because I don't know how to." "Wait, you haven't lied in your life?" Peter asked. She nodded. "Yes it is in the ten commandments, thou shall not lie" "Yeah that what I heard but I don't believe that. We are all human, no one is that much of a saint." "Yeah I know that." Carla confirmed. I turned to Carla and Peter. "What the fuck?"

I said "Yeah, am sorry about. You called for this interview cause you wanted to say something to the whole world, what might that be?" "We don't really have much time to spend here cause we have another schedule so I'll just go straight to the point, Lucy and I aren't dating, everything was a lie, the pregnancy was a lie and the proposal was fake too, there were certain circumstances that made us announce all those things back then and we can't just continue lying to all of you so we decided to let you know now, we are really sorry for lying to you all, we deeply regret it and I hope you all will be able to forgive me" I said with a gloomy face **********
