Because he's a wolf and he's the one killing me. A tingling sensation starts at my arm, another on my throat and spreads to my chest as it feels like my body is pulled up into a strong cradling embrace and a weight is hauled from me. Against all my expectations, my eyes flutter open as darkness starts to recede and a pair of amber eyes in a familiar face are only inches from mine, reflecting a blue glow that brings my sight down to where it's coming from. My brain so cloudy that I stare numbly, with no sense of recognition for a second. Human hands... blue healing glow on my arm and my upper chest and the armor, its laying beside me, dented and curled and slashed and yet I can't get my beari

A dull thud echoed loudly. The dim glow from the enchanted armor flickered weakly several times before finally dying out completely. Cracks spread rapidly across the armor. Then— Clank! The entire enchanted armor shattered apart into useless metal scraps that scattered across the floor. “My armor!” The muscular warrior screamed miserably while coughing blood. Ignoring his broken arms and injuries, he crawled desperately toward the shattered pieces of metal lying on the ground. His face was full of agony. From where I sat, I honestly couldn’t tell whether he was grieving more over his injuries…

Kael commanded through the failing comms. As the Iron-Kin's "Sanitization Drones"-sleek, multi-legged machines with laser scalpels-began to enter the city, the resistance gathered in the dark. Elara led a team of "Grounded" Shifters, covering their skin and fur with a thick, crystalline paste made from the Barrens' unrefined salt. When the Drones scanned the Salt-Armored warriors, they found... nothing. To the machines, the Shifters became invisible, as biological "black holes" in the sensor net.

The blood knives splattered against the barrier, sizzling like acid as they melted away, but the relentless assault began to wear it down. The protective barrier shattered with a deafening crack, and the blood knives slammed into Nina’s arm. She gasped as the acidic blood splattered, searing her skin with a sizzle. Her clothes disintegrated in patches where the blood touched, revealing raw, bubbling flesh beneath. Nina clutched her arm, her teeth gritted against a scream. But the pain was excruciating, like fire and acid tearing through her veins. Her breathing grew labored, her vision swimming as the greenish rot began to spread.

But unlike him, I had friends and love by my side, to guide me and always remind me of what was right. 'Always by your side.' I heard Victor's voice in my mind and smiled. I opened my eyes and turned my face so that I could look at my beloved. The crown on his head is complete, and he is wearing his metallic red armor, which seems to be made of lava and you can see reddish and orange glow as if it were metal being forged. My armor has a golden hue, mixed with touches of red, black, and white. We don't usually wear armor in battle, but this is special because it's made to resist magic. With Ayla's skill, I know for sure that these armors have become even more powerful.

At his side was a scythe, its curved edge wicked sharp. As stunning as Amora and Nyssa were, they were breathtaking when covered in armor. Amora’s was rose gold, the same pink hue as her cheeks, while Nyssa’s resembled a pearl, the material almost iridescent. The wolves that had joined us for the fight watched in awe as I dropped my glamour, my clothes morphing into armor a shimmering silver. While I wasn’t very skilled at using the thing, a sword hung at my hip. My skin was lit with an inner glow that turned my hair into a mess of writhing blue flames. I could feel my power pulsing within my eyes, illuminating the dark for all to see.

It gave her time to think. She didn’t head straight to the infirmary but meandered the hallways. The place seemed to have changed since Nathaniel had been in charge. The Alpha’s pristine mansion which had been void of life now felt like a city now lived inside the walls. Shifters, vampires, and wiccans wandered around, all in the same black uniforms that consisted of combat boots, cargo slacks and shirt. There were some variations such as a few agents wearing clothes meant for the frosty outdoors but, it was the same outfit. It was the outfit of soldiers.

She stroked his fur, hoping to keep him calm as bits of their conversations reached her ears. “… injured.” “…alive?” “…red eyes like that? What do you think is going on?” They reached what seemed to be the center of the town where a long banner bearing a symbol of a chest plate with spikes hung over the fountain where children were playing. The dark-skinned man turned to them with a smile. He gestured and the rest of the wolves shifted back one after the other and began to dress. “Welcome to Sharp Armor.”

Rohan roared aggressively, violently kicking Aryan directly into the shallow, freezing edge of the putrid sludge. The biohazardous, freezing filth aggressively splashed over his bare, completely stiff legs, instantly seeping directly into the deep, actively bleeding cuts from the billionaires' shoes. The catastrophic, blinding pain of the extreme bacterial infection violently exploding inside his open wounds was absolutely paralyzing. He aggressively gagged, violently vomiting nothing but thin, acidic bile directly onto his own violently shaking, bare chest.

My mind kept going back to him. How composed he was at first. And then how easily I shook that composure. That straight mask. Aaron Greyman. what do I do with you ? _ I stood facing the cracked mirror in the men's washroom. There was nothing like shaving cream here, so you have to be really careful when cleaning up, else you want to end up with a cut. Or worse.... A bleeding mess.
