I replied with an angry emoji and swiped through I*******m. I*******m is a place I visit once in a while. I don't have many followers—unlike Bree, who's into content creation and has over ten thousand followers. The only time I go on I*******m is when she forces me to like and comment on her posts or if I'm looking for something different. A smile formed on my lips when I came across Bree's post from twelve hours ago—and the location was her ex-boyfriend's place. Well, I knew it.

Mentions, messages, tags. My stomach tightened as I opened one. It was a meme caricature of my old picture. There was a poop emoji on top of my head, my brown eyes were replaced with a red laser, and a boldly written text on the picture said ‘SLUT’. I groaned and locked my phone immediately. But it was too late. I’d already seen it. Another buzz. Then another. Curiosity got the better of me again. I saw a particular message from a private page in my DM.

I cut off what he was going to say because I know he'll just brag again. Your eyes might be vague. This face is crushing by a lot of women and gays and envied by men and lesbians, there's only a few people with this kind of face in the world!” Seriously? Doesn't he feel goosebumps while saying that? Or atleast feel ashame?

Because the moment I saw it— One thought hit me like lightning. I had seen that face before. Not in the past. Not in memory. But recently. Very recently. Which meant— Whoever that man was… He wasn’t gone. He was still here. Somewhere close. Watching. Waiting.

Meme looks at me and says, “are you serious right now” “Spin knows I’m not a morning person. Do you wanna go now or complain about what I’m wearing until I agree to change?” I asked her. “Fuck it”, she says as she throws her hands in the air in defeat. “Let’s go”! We walked out to the car, with Gabe and his boys already there waiting. Meme throws her bag in the trunk and blows a kiss at Mikey before getting in. We drive blasting the music, singing along like only we can until we arrive at Spin’s, laughing at ourselves like idiots!

I asked, frowning in confusion. “His face is too familiar for my liking. I am not even sure how to explain it, but I know for fact that I have seen him somewhere, and you know that I don’t forget a face.” He said, shaking his head. “I just need to remember where I have.”

Even seconds after leaving, his words still affect me. "Mind if I join you?" I turn my head to see a guy walking towards me with a cup in hand. He seems weirdly familiar as he stops before me with a smile. "Hey, it’s you! Wow, you look prettier than the last time I saw you." "Do I know you?" I ask, and he pouts. "Ouch. That hurts. People usually tell me I have a face that’s hard to forget."

And now, the internet was having a fucking field day. Noah stopped pacing, long enough to grab his phone again, thumbs flying over the screen as he scanned the endless floods of comments on his innagram. I sucked my teeth, irritation clawing up my throat. “You need to stop reading that shit.” He snapped his gaze to me at that, and I’ve never seen such pure anger in his gaze. “Do you know what they are calling me? Have you seen the fucking memes they’ve started to make about me? I’ve spent my entire life--?”

I chuckled. But staring at the picture of Jefferson, he is really handsome. He looks like an asian superstar. Like, from Thailand. But I don’t know, his face is really familiar to me. It seemed like I had seen it before but I cannot quite remember when and how. He is just so familiar to me. I blinked more as I tried to remember it from the back of my mind. I did everything I could in order for me to remember where I saw his face… And then I swallowed hard when I realized it…
