“You are the one who took a young girl hostage and plan to use her blood for what exactly?” “It’s you,” the witch said and Caitlin raised a brow. “Do you know who I am?” “No, but you will soon be known.” Caitlin became confused at what the witch said and it was then her eyes lowered to see that she was holding onto something which peeked out from her coat. She saw something black which looks like a book and it gave her the description of the sacred book the priest talked about which she had pictured from the mind of the other priest. “I see that you’ve stolen the so-called sacred book. What is it about this sacred book exactly?” Caitlin asked, looking curious.

They were images of blackened houses, broken bodies, and trembling survivors murmuring in fear. “They said they saw… shadows with horns,” Eden whispered. “They said the shadows walked through fire and didn’t burn. They tore through flesh like paper. One old man said he saw a child disappear in the blink of an eye. There was no blood. No scream. Just… gone.” Sophia paled. Her fingers trembled as she reached into the folds of her robe and pulled out a tattered, leather-bound grimoire. She flipped the pages quickly. “I’ve read this before,” she muttered,. “Long ago. When I was a child. The signs… horned shadows, vanishing people, soulless fire. It’s not mortal.”

I continue to read and try to understand the knowledge before me. I decide to pack these books and I go back for others. I grab several jars of herbs and such too. Several crystals who's importance I read. I grab a book on banshees, and another old book with marker on it's spine. It's so old the original print has faded. Incubi, succubi and demons. I drag it back to the room excited to crack it open.

A desperate scream pierced the air, sounding as if it came from the depths of hell. Sweat beaded on Sebastian's forehead. It was the first time he was using an exorcism spell, and he didn't feel confident at all. Even so, he trusted that the spells passed down by the Sacred Medicine Society wouldn't be wrong. There was an ear-splitting bang, and a black shadow suddenly appeared in front of Sebastian. Sebastian hastily backed away. "Who are you?" He looked coldly at the dark shadow. "You shouldn't have disturbed me! How dare you mess up my plan? You're asking to die!" the dark shadow roared in fury.

The most toxic of all metals for vampires. He looked past them, and saw additional layers of bars behind them. He had no doubt now that the savage seven were being kept here. Kyle heard a faint rumbling noise. As he leaned in, suddenly a long, yellow claw reached out of the blackness, towards the bars. This was followed by a hideous face, with long, orange fangs, drooling. He could smell its rotten breath, even from here. Ancient, primordial creatures, the savage seven were too hideous too look at, even for Kyle, and he had to turn away. For a moment, he felt relieved that they were locked up, and he second-guessed releasing them.

He opened the door and in the room were books. Kallum stepped into the room and crouched when he picked up one of the books from the ground. Suddenly a spark rolled in between his fingers, he proceeded to flip through the pages of the book and when he stopped at one of the pages. Recognition came to him. This book contained a spell she had to consult for her to perform. A binding spell. “Erebus,’ Kallum said softly. The Darkforce pried deeper into what the book was about, and it showed him that the witch In this house, may not have just crossed paths with Erebus.

I whispered. A fresh wave of nausea hit, memories pushing like claws against the walls of my mind, shadows of a past life I had spent years trying to understand. This book...This book was the answer. This was the ritual Darren used to kill me, to kill my baby, to take power for himself.

Now, this item possessed a spiritual property that, once imbued with Chi energy, could invoke worldly essence. “What is this? Do you think I’m a fool? Do you think you can take out any random item and claim it as the Holy Book?” Maiko snorted. “Looks like you’re quite new… Cough, cough!” Alex spat out another mouthful of blood which splattered on the Stake of Exorcism. At once, the Stake of Exorcism invoked worldly essence, and an essence vortex began to form… Other people couldn’t see it, but Maiko was also a martial artist and was able to sense it very quickly.

The loud sucking noise as my fist left her chest cavity echoed off the trees as I tossed the heart as far as I could manage in my exhausted state. Silence permeated our surroundings as the cocoons that entrapped Gwendoline and my grandparents disappeared; as did the energy bands around Geo and Luthias. I looked wearily at Luthias and then Geo. Neither one moved. I saw no bands, so why didn’t they move? Was there more to the spell than I realized. Had the spell not left them with Sybil’s death? “You saved me,” Luthias finally said in a voice just above a whisper. “I guess I did,” I replied just before the world went black.
