Holding my head, I feel dizzy, somehow, I could see my friends… their end… no… Just one moment I can see someone falling on the roof, and then someone gets hit by a car, someone was hit on the head, and in one moment there is now water… corpse… dead bodies lying on the ground, faces filled with blood, this is so horrifying… I want to vomit… This… this is ninth… But what is more terrifying is that all of them… I can’t see their faces yet I know who they are… Glub glub glub I can even someone coughing while catching her breath… and the shouts that were tearing my ear off me… gunshots and all… even the skin ripped by a blade…

The fog faded and I saw so many pairs of yellow eyes glowing like a firefly. Those yellow scary eyes scared the shit out of me and the bodies of wolves slowly started to appear making me drag my body backwards in order to save myself and I could see death approaching me.

A branch in its endless, gnarled roots. And then, the darkness fractured. Light. It was a flicker, a sudden flash of brightness that felt like fire on his skin. Ben’s eyes snapped open, and he gasped, pulling in air that tasted like ash. His body jerked with the instinct to flee, but there was nowhere to run. He was still on the cold ground, but the forest was no longer just an empty abyss. It was a labyrinth, a twisted landscape of trees with faces carved into their trunks, eyes staring out at him, watching, waiting.

In 1983 a Mrs Carson of New York was laid out in our coffin, presumed dead of hear disease. As mourners watched, she suddenly sat up, alive as you or I. CHAPTER 54 (Warning: Contains Triggering and Sensitive scenes) TAHIRA'S POV I was too dazed and shocked to turn back to the creature that was growling behind me. In all my existence, I never thought I would bear such a dangerous and angry growl which sent my whole body frozen and brought bumps from my skin.
