Cost me a pretty penny, but highly worth it. My hair is half up, half down, with loose curls. It's soft and elegant, showing off my face while keeping it out of my face. Also, keep on the emerald necklace Declan got me because it goes perfectly, along with the ring I had custom-made. It's just a gold ring with an emerald, similar to the necklace, but it doubles as a scent blocker. No one will be none the wiser because it's stunning. There's a knock on my door, so I tell whoever it is to come in while I check myself in the full-length mirror to ensure everything is perfect.

I’m about to pass a small alley when I see an old woman on the side. Her hands are busy stringing colorful beads. Around her, a colorful display of handmade bracelets shimmers in the sunlight. I pause, captivated. The beads are simple, yet vibrant, each one seemingly infused with a story. I’ve always had a soft spot for handcrafted jewelry. My eyes scan the collection, drawn to a particularly striking red bracelet woven with tiny silver charms. It’s bold, eye-catching, and perfect. I reach for it, about to ask the price, when something else catches my attention, tucked almost out of sight amongst a pile of similar pieces.

I nodded along with him. "Alrighty!" She dragged a bit and turned around looking at the bracelets displayed in front of her. Me and Aiden saw that everything was good and nice. One bracelet caught my attention. It was lock and pair one. It was made of platinum along with diamond. The one for the girl has a heart entwined with another heart, along with a crown of queen on top of it. The boy bracelet has the same one heart entwined with the another heart along with a a king's crown on top of it. I nudged Athena with my shoulder as she looked up to what I was pointing on the display.

The woman smiled again, her smile the type which would brighten a person's gloomy day. Ariana graciously accepted the bracelet and looked down at it. It was made from black thread and black beads with a few wine red beads in between. As she stared at the bracelet, a thought crossed her mind. Elliot. For some strange reason the bracelet reminded her of Elliot. The bracelet gave off a dark and mysterious vibe. The thought of the Navarro CEO confused her. She didn't understand why her heart started pounding and her stomach felt uneasy. I whisper-yell. Adam curls his lips. He looks tired, as if I'm the only thing keeping him awake. "Don't worry about Dave. Nothing can wake him up. I'm sorry you're suffering, though," Adam mumbles tiredly. He moves his hand in a circle, whispering something inaudible. "Maybe this will help you," I stare at him, curious about the mysterious smile on his lips. A moment later, I feel something snaking around my wrist. Startled, I hold up my arm and stare at the bracelet made of vines and pink flowers. Amazingly enough, the flowers are glowing in the dark, and I hold my breath, slowly reaching out the tip of my finger to touch one.

Adella screamed. It was a bracelet! A one of it kind. Adella had pestered Azizi to let her have the bracelet for years now but he declined saying that it wasn't the right time for her to have such powerful bracelet in her possession. She liked it because it had the color to the sea, an aquamarine Neifion bracelet and it also has the same color of Adella's eyes. Adella rushed towards him and hugged him tightly. My breath hitched; I didn’t want to touch it, and I didn’t want to be chosen for another destiny, but my hand moved anyway. The moment my fingers brushed the bracelet, the vine retracted with a whip-like snap, and the cuff latched around my wrist like it had always belonged there. It didn’t hurt, but it was warm, almost uncomfortably so, and a soft glow pulsed from the etched eye.
