She took a massive, panicked gulp. He seemed to be peering straight into her soul. His intense gaze pierced through her body like a drill, making her violently tremble. "I'm sorry, Master. I didn't see you," she hurriedly apologized, desperate to get out of there. He didn't respond. He simply stood blocking her path, never taking his piercing eyes off her. She nervously cleared her throat to get his attention, but it didn't work. After a few agonizing seconds of standing there in heavy silence, he finally decided to speak.

He mumbled to himself. He took her gently to his arms and regardless of being so tender, she whimpered in pain hurt by the slightest movement. "Hush, sweetheart. I know your greatest yearning and I shall fulfill it through a trade." "M-my... soul?" In deep bravado, he let out a chuckle while his eyes danced in mischief. "Touche! If I say yes, will you give it to me?" Her eyes told him she would give anything. However, deep inside, her soul trembled in fright.

The woman behind me, points at me and screams, "He killed her." Scanning the crowd around me, I catch a glimpse of red and look closer. There she stands, the soul eater with her black soulless eyes just smiling at me with that smile that still creeps me out. You would think that it wouldn't after all this time, but it still gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Both were shocked with this incident, Anya looks up and collides with his blue-green eyes. Anya raise her finger and traces on Sebastian's eyes making him shiver with her touch "Your eyes are so beautiful, so pure without any malice." Anya stares into his eyes with admiration and fascination then says "Why you always filled them with negative emotions? Or else they are the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen in my life." Hearing her words Sebastian holds her waist and pulls her closer to him then he touches his forehead with her and mumbles "Stop me before I lose control."

"These are two of my associates." Asher studied the men on either side of Michael. The one sitting directly to his right was a very large bald man with crystal clear eyes that held a sense of foreboding. His arms and what Asher could see of his chest from his half undone shirt sported some intricate tattoo. Michael introduced him as Gustavo.

The flame flickered to life, casting its warm, insistent glow over the amulet. "Oh, I believe you," I murmured, holding the amulet to the flame. "I believe you're a spineless man, greedy enough to keep a foot in both worlds."

The engagement ring shimmered under the light. "Why is this still on my finger?" I whispered. Before Michael could speak, Maria chuckled, shaking her head like she had been waiting for this moment. "Oh, Brenda," He sighed dramatically, giving Maria a smirk. "Do you even look at yourself in the mirror when you wake up? Babe, you’ll be twenty-seven this year. You’re not as fresh and beautiful as you think." He scoffed, eyes gleaming with cruelty. "I’m actually doing you a favor. You’re outdated, Brenda. It’s time to wake up."
