Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

Everyone here believes that I am a cousin of Andre and Ophelia, and that I lost my parents during the plague, which isn’t a complete lie. Sage was one of my first friends here. I was the awkward new girl who moved here during the peak of the plague. I was distraught from losing my mother, being separated from my sisters and father. I didn’t know who to trust. Sage sat next to me my first day of school here and immediately started talking to me about unicorns being real. I didn’t even spare her a glance, but she kept talking for a solid 3 minutes about the possibility of unicorns being real.

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

" angry with the author's stupid dog shit novel; she hurriedly opened her keyboard and typed in " THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NONSENSICAL NOVEL , F*CK YOU AUTHOR!" But cursing the author once wasn't enough for her so she repeatedly cursed the novel and the author . The Fl was putiful but so was Chelsea under WHAT premises was Lilian allowed to have a HE but Chelsea was given a BE? " Iliana! We will be late for Mrs Sushma's hindi lecture " " I'm coming Rohini " Iliana shouted to her best friend and rushed out from her room but as soon as she stood up her head started to feel dizzy .

I've only read 15 chaps so far, but this is a good piece. Though I think it needs a bit editing, but it's still a loveable story. I love the MC and her personality, more to rational and realistic. Hope MC won't end with the prince or other 'fishes', but still have her happy ending. Good job, Author~

A Twist of Fate with the Callous Billionaire

A Twist of Fate with the Callous Billionaire

Marcus muttered, “So what’s she supposed to do? Unlock you? Fix you?” “No,” Rhett said. “She’s supposed to survive me.” I sat up straighter. “Survive you?” “There’s something inside me,” he said. “Not a parasite. Not a bug. A fail-safe.” Sophia leaned in. “What kind of fail-safe?” “If I remember too much — if I link too many files, if I find the root… I burn out. Like a fuse. I die.” My jaw locked. “A time bomb,” I said.

THE LAST SAFE WORD

THE LAST SAFE WORD

Behind us the auction house burned (someone had lit it for insurance, or for us, or because some fires just know when it’s time). We disappeared into the city before the sun came up. He never collared me. He never needed to. I had already said yes. And somewhere in the chaos, between gunshots and monsoon rain, I laughed (manic, alive, terrified) because the word we invented in a lighthouse when we were seventeen had just become the most expensive safe word in history. Pomegranate. He stopped running long enough to kiss me against a wall while the world caught fire behind us.

Failed Escape

Failed Escape

A faint pang of regret lingered, why hadn't I done this sooner? I'd discarded my old SIM, bought a new one under a false name, and kept contact only with Bella. "Claire... you have no idea. Aaron's gone mad trying to find you," she said cautiously. "Some of his Capos got replaced for failing him... and Vivian? She's been sent abroad." "His temper's dangerous these days. Nobody dares slip up." I let a faint, almost imperceptible smile ghost across my face. "He's holding on to a love that exists only in his mind. The moment he sees it for what it really is, I'll no longer matter to him."

Daddy's Little Secret

Daddy's Little Secret

The failsafe spoke again, voice still calm, still measured. “Final request. Voluntary compliance.” Melissa squeezed my hand hard enough to hurt. “I am not leaving them,” she said. The failsafe lowered its hand slowly. “Then consequence path is initiated.” The ground dropped. Not collapsed. Dropped. Like gravity had been reassigned. We fell as the street folded inward, reality peeling apart beneath us like layers of paper tearing free from glue. As we plunged into darkness, the last thing I saw was the failsafe standing perfectly still above the collapsing world.

When Fate Faltered

When Fate Faltered

“Aren’t you worried about my health? What if I can never have children after this?” Joel said impatiently, “Do you think we are living in a fictional world? Stories where one miscarriage makes someone infertile are rare. Just get it done quickly. Do not force me to act.” During the argument, Joel pushed her. Mandy fell down the stairs, and when she saw the blood, the situation escalated. Before losing consciousness, she screamed hoarsely, “Joel, heartless man! You got me pregnant and won’t take responsibility…” Joel’s mother arrived in a hurry but stayed rational.

WHY ME

Then he said the words that changed everything. “It’s a failsafe.” Silence. Ayesha’s mind spun. Failsafe? For what? Zayn continued. “When Titan was created, it wasn’t built to be invincible. It had a weakness—a shutdown sequence.” Leena frowned. “Yeah. And we used it.” Zayn nodded. “Exactly.” He turned toward Ayesha. “But what if I told you… there’s another system?” Ayesha’s blood ran cold. Zayn continued.

The CEO’s Vengeful Bride

The CEO’s Vengeful Bride

It was only a matter of minutes before the entire grid would collapse again. Elena’s hands hovered over the keyboard. Her mind screamed, trying to figure out what had gone wrong, but the answer came too slowly. It was a security fail-safe – designed for situations just like this, to ensure no one could upload anything that might override the system. “Elena, you need to back out now!” Damien’s voice rang through her earpiece. His panic was palpable. “No!” she cried out, voice shaking. “I’m so close. I can’t back out now.”

Betrayed Before the Vows

Serena asked. Sato smiled, a cold, digital expression on his screen. "Chaos. We trigger a series of micro-failures in the Phoenix grid that look like human error. We make the world believe that Camelia Thorne is losing her mind. And then... we offer the world a 'Safety Net' that we control."
