Welcome to Aetherborn: Crushes, Curses & Creatures

“I passed. I finally passed.” The room fell silent. When she looked up, their faces told her everything. “You… didn’t pass,” Kade said quietly. Her brow furrowed. “What? But… if I didn’t pass, then how am I out?” Alaric stepped closer, his crimson eyes unreadable. “Because you didn’t escape the Frame, Seraphine…” he said slowly. “You destroyed it.” Her heartbeat stumbled. “Destroyed… it?” Lucien nodded. “Completely. The Frame of Misery, the most ancient punishment of the Academy, it shattered. No one’s ever done that before.”

Broken Mate

Broken Mate

A gasp could be heard by everyone. Elder Rose shakes her head. “It is possible you are nearing the last year before the bond breaks even though you did not accept. It will be painful each time one of the bonds snaps, more so each time.” She hesitates, looking like she wants to say something but doesn’t “That's impossible. I never felt anything and I took back my rejection.”

Jessica Jones “Broken Mate” is a brilliant story that is a compelling read with a great storyline, wonderfully written & entertaining characters! Talk about an emotional roller coaster! I’ve laughed & cried. I must admit to wanting to inflict some pain on a certain alpha! Thanks Jessica!

OMG it’s been a long time since I’ve read a book that I was emotionally invested in! It was incredible! I went from happy, to sad, to furious to excited to crying. I hated them & loved them, rooted for them & cursed them for being so stupid!! I only hope book 2 is at least half as good as this one!!

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

The world tilted on its axis, and the air itself seemed to scream. As the frame around Kieran began to shatter and the layers started to bleed into each other, the system unleashed its final defense. A wall of pure, freezing force slammed down between us, and the crack began to snap shut with him still halfway inside it.

Love Ends Here

"We found Mr. Hale's personal belongings at Echo Chamber, but he's missing. There was a violent altercation there last night. The police have sealed off the area. There's blood everywhere. They say... someone died." "What?" Julia trembled violently. "Say that again?" "The police said the person who died was likely Mr. Hale."

OUT OF HIS FRAME

OUT OF HIS FRAME

At the start of graduation season, my boyfriend took more than two hundred photos of Madison Vale. Chase Whitman was president of Westbridge University’s photography club. He knew how to find flattering light and how to coax people out of stiff smiles. Madison stood beneath the maples outside the library in a white dress, her graduation cap tucked under one arm. “Am I taking up too much of your time?” she asked. Chase checked the last few shots and smiled. “You make my job easy.” When it was finally my turn, he barely looked at me. “Stand by the tree.” He clicked the shutter twice and lowered the camera. “Done.” I stared at him. “That’s it?” He turned the screen toward me. In one photo my ey

Framed Mechanic: You Can Crash and Burn

Framed Mechanic: You Can Crash and Burn

"I can't brake! I can't stop the van! The brake's not working!" Billy and his gang's screams echoed across the entire valley as the van's chassis lurched violently over the road's uneven surface from their extreme speed. Sparks also appeared under the vehicle. I saw Billy sitting in the driver's seat through his wide-open windows. He was frantically trying to take control of the steering wheel. Why wasn't he live-streaming anymore with his phone? Could it be that it was because his big-spending audiences weren't giving him any gifts anymore? There was a hairpin bend on the road ahead, and if he couldn't stop, he would plunge right down the ravine that was hundreds of feet deep.

End the Secret Affair

End the Secret Affair

"I'll get to the bottom of this. If it really was you, we're done. I won't be with someone so vicious." With that, he left the room. The moment he was gone, my legs gave out, and I collapsed to the floor. When Christopher returned, he saw me on the floor and dropped the lunchbox he held. "Calista!" After settling me back in, he grabbed the nurse. "What the hell happened? She was fine when I left!" She stammered, "I-I don't know… All I know is that Mr. Slater was here, saying something about breaking up with Ms. LeBlanc. Then, she fainted…"

End the Mistake

End the Mistake

The power within me was instantly drawn out, silver light spreading along my arm. "In the name of the Moon Goddess, I, Elena Morse, formally request severance of the mate bond with Alpha Damon Aldridge." Runes flickered across the stone. The invisible bond connecting us began to tremble and twist. "Elena, stop!" Damon's voice came from behind me, laced with a panic I'd never heard before. I didn't turn around. "It's too late." The instant the mate bond shattered, searing pain shot through my chest, but it was immediately followed by an unprecedented sense of relief. That suffocating feeling of being bound vanished completely.

Failed Escape

Failed Escape

" The words pricked at me like a tiny, relentless needle, barely there, yet sharp enough to lodge deep in my chest. I had no strength to pull it out, no way to ease the ache, and it stayed with me, subtle but constant, gnawing quietly. Vivian pressed her hand to her side, inching closer with cautious, deliberate steps. "Aaron... what's wrong? You never lose your temper with me," she murmured, her voice soft but insistent. I let out a low, hollow whisper. "Claire... she's gone." The words drained me completely. My body slumped into the sofa as if it had no memory of strength.
