A few hours later, when Kyra stepped through the doors and saw what Ali Ahmed had done, she started to think that the books were pretty exciting, too. Ali Ahmed had left her favorite book from college, a collection of fairy tales and myths from around the world, on a small table near the door. Kyra picked it up, smiling down at the familiar cover, and looked around for Ali Ahmed. He was nowhere to be found, so she assumed he must be running late. With a shrug, Kyra crossed to sit in a large armchair, flipping the book open to the first page. As soon as she did, a note fell out.

he groans. "I think I'll manage love," I smile at him. The doorbell chiming made me roll my eyes and Nyx frowned. We appeared in the foyer and Nyx opened the door to a strange-looking creature. "There's a fairy eater in seelie lands," it squeaks. Nyx looked at me and I shook my head. "They've all been destroyed, you're mistaken," I frowned, and waved my hand and Flynn appeared. Nyx growls at him. "You're good McKenna," he grins. I rolled my eyes at the agent.

Picking up a large pile of books from a box, I strolled towards a table that was getting empty to fill it up again.

She doesn't move, but in my imagination, she smiles a small, secret little smile, the edge of her lips tilting just a little bit. "Okay, if you insist," I smile back, starting at the top of the page. "Once there was a king who had 12 beautiful daughters..." Did her finger just twitch? "Tilly...?"

She opens it and almost drops it to the floor. Ann gurgled with laughter at her reaction. She said in an amused voice, “It’s okay. I know it’s a shock to your innocent mind but these will teach you how to please him if he comes for you.” “The things we do for affection…” she murmured to herself, gingerly opening the book. She blushed at the images of the book. “Is this even possible?” she whispered in shock and awe. The maid grinned and gently stroke her hair, “You will be a surprised child of the extent men and women would do please each other.”
