With a gentle smile, Mitchell began reading a tale of enchantment and adventure from one of her favorite story books. "Once upon a time, in the enchanting land of a Faraway kingdom, there lived a curious little fairy named Sophia. With sparkling wings that shined like the stars in the night sky, Sophia had a special gift; she could make flowers bloom with a mere touch and bring joy to all living creatures.

I had so much time on my hands I could read every one of these books. I found three that sounded interesting then went to the cafe for a watermelon lemon water, I never heard of a drink like that before. I found a nice big chair on the outside patio and opened my first book. It immediately pulled me into the story. It was an action adventure that followed the life of a strong Beta devoted to his pack. He had to marry a fairy to bring more protection to his people. This book said fairies had magic that seeped out of their pores, making any submit to their wishes. It was a fictional tale so I wasn't sure if anything was true, but it was an exciting adventure.

She's still hoping that Clark will come back to her. I looked away while I'm driving. I'm just wondering... Why do people believe in the Fairy tale? Hoping that someday, they will their Prince Charming like they were their Knight in Shining Armour. Rescuing them from the past they've been through. Then they will assume that they will have their happily ever after? Why can't they just wake up in the reality that there's no such thing as that? That there is no such thing as Fairy Tale? There is no such thing as Prince Charming nor Knight in Shining Armor?

It's all a fantasy. Fable has been my escape. An unhealthy one. A safe pretend world where I could bury myself. Just like how Zee cried after she finished the final Harry Potter book, or how Jamie bases so much of her worth on the fictional version of herself that lives across a thousand Instagram pics, in the comments and likes of a thousand strangers. Just carefully constructed lies to comfort and lull. Dreams.
