A FAKE LIFE

A FAKE LIFE

Something irreparable, but coverable: with smiles, with pretty looks, with good gestures. She doesn't lie, she hides the truth. She doesn't say anything, and she yells a lot in complete silence. She is the absolute image of the controversy. The good, which must be bad by nature. The beautiful thing, that it is completely broken. The strength, which has weaknesses. The quiet girl with books and loud music, who goes out to a party to get high. The promiscuity, that she does not like to kiss. The life that is not real. The life that is invented. The life that must be lived out of obligation. The fake life she invented in her dreams to survive.

Back to the Past: Revealing the Faker

Back to the Past: Revealing the Faker

The police released an official statement denying all rumors and accusations against me and them for bribery. Riding on the momentum, I then released a ton of evidence online. I wrote that Meryl was an impostor whose son committed marriage fraud to get the wife to look after her illegitimate twins. I then spent some more money to bump it up to the headlines. Paul appeared as well, backing up everything I said and bringing more traffic and attention to my post. After that, I set up a fund to help victims of marriage fraud divorce their partners. With that, my company also made the headline news as well. And because of our newfound popularity, many of our items sold out. We even received huge

If Loving You Is Wrong

If Loving You Is Wrong

Ivy Smith opened the packet curiously, pulled out a financial record from it, flipped through a few pages at random, and realized: "So it's the Brown Group's account book. You want me to use this fake book to gain the other party's trust?" Alex Brown, however, showed a smile and nodded his long fingertips toward the account book: "Look at it, it's the real thing." "But isn't this too risky?" The books were the core of a company's secrets, and Ivy Smith didn't think it was worth it to use them as bait for information about an enemy she knew nothing about. Alex Brown smiled reassuringly and told her not to worry: "You just do what you have to do, and I'll make the arrangements for what to do a

the entitlement in his voice was glaring despite the fact that he was the one who needed help. And frankly, all those benefits outlined in the offer letter and a million more weren't enough to even keep me at arms length with a man like him, talk less of being by his side most of the time. I could barely tolerate him even though our interactions were sparse and spaced out, if I agreed to work for him I would surely run mad minutes into my first day. “Just sign that and you’ll never have a worry in life, your benefits are subject to change upon request every three months during your period of employment and you’ll have a retirement fund that can feed nations,” he failed to sound convincing be

CHOKEHOLD; Trapped By My Ex

Stunned. "I can't...I can't believe this." "What part?" I probed, seemingly uninterested. It was the surprise drama I expected. "Is this real? Like really real?" She held out the documents. "I can't... How is this possible? It says I get an apartment as part of the benefits for accepting the creative consultant role at Oxygen." "Along with other entitlements listed." I added, "Yeah, I can see it but why? Why's it coming now and not earlier?"

“He’s head of security.” Mick nodded. “I trust Bobby. He’s going to create a fake site for Jerry to access. Jerry will think it’s our spreadsheet for our sales.” “Go on.” “Anyway, he’ll see that Adkins has increased sales by a good eighty percent.” Mick chuckled lowly. “That much?” She shrugged. “We have to get Carl’s attention, right?” “Then what?”

There is even a bank account listed with all the details, and a pre-approval noticed for purchasing a home. Silas just stands there watching me as I continue to read the information on my new partial-fake identity. “Are these real bank accounts?” Confusion written on my face. “Am I pretending to buy a house, or actually buying a house?” “Everything listed is real. We won’t actually be buying anything, but we won’t be able to get what we need if your performance is not convincing enough, so we set up the accounts and got the pre-approval for you.”

Tamara
This was actually a really good book. Glad I gave it a try. She really was trying to help in her own way but some people are just so selfish. I hate that she had to go through all of that but I’m glad she got a happy ending.
Sussi Thomsen
Good story, different from many other stories and there was some surprises... Really a tragic story even if it ended well in the end. I did skip easy over some parts to get faster through the story, but the plot was interesting.

He greeted with his deep voice, smiling softly at the sight of them. Samantha murmured a morning while Kenneth only grins in reply before focusing back on his pancake. Nathaniel dropped the briefcase on the island before helping himself with a coffee, sipping in contentment with a plate of pancake. "Humm! This is a nice pancake you make today. Thanks, Sam." Faking It with the Ex-Navy SEAL

Faking It with the Ex-Navy SEAL

McBain saw his opening and tried to shove me in. I refused. Of course, I refused. He did everything he was being accused of and deserved to lose the case over it. I’d done enough dirty work for McBain out of a twisted sense of obligation. How many secret surgeries had I performed, treating gun and knife wounds on his buddies? Much to my shame, I even wrote dozens of fake prescriptions to provide him with a steady supply of various forms of opioids.

Today, the folder was completely sterile. The metadata for the newest file upload read: Uploaded by J. Ramos (Intern). Atasha’s digital signature was entirely missing from the history log. She hadn't logged onto the shared server in a week. She had completely routed all corporate communications and file transfers through her subordinates, ensuring her name never even appeared on my monitors. She was erasing herself from my grid with professional efficiency.
