Fall Into A Good Book Novels & Stories

I haven’t had to look at the gun for over a year now, but at times like these, it is needed. I needed to sleep, but I knew that it wouldn’t come that easily. The best thing for me to do was grab a book and read; that always calmed me, and hopefully, it will help me fall asleep without worrying. I chose one of my favourite books, Persuasion by Jane Austin. I have read it a hundred times, but that doesn’t make me love it any less. I pushed all the bad thoughts aside, getting lost in it, and soon I feel myself drifting off, wishing this is nothing but a bad dream.

I pick a few good ones . "What are you doing?" Drew asks me out of nowhere, startling me. "Whoa." I say and all the books go up in the air like a whoosh. I know, you can imagine what happened next-Drew would have collected all those books in a millisecond with his speed and handed me those, in a beautiful , organised stack and I would have froze , looking at him with heart eyes and gushing over him. But, unfortunately that didn't happen. Instead, all the books fell down and one book came super close to hitting me in the head but my reflexes came to work and I saved myself like the independent girl I am.

“And danger calls to danger.” Then he was gone. Like mist. Like a ghost. Like a fever dream. And I was left gripping the book like my life depends on it, my body on fire. This wasn’t just an attraction. This wasn’t even lust. It was a slow descent into something wicked and beautiful and doomed. And I was already falling. I decided to go back to the kitchen and find something cold to drink to make me cool down because I was going to blow up with the way I was fuming inside.

She breathed deep, telling herself it was because soon, she would no longer get the chance to do so. There was a floor to ceiling shelf in one corner of the room, filled with books. Ria stood in front of the shelf for a moment, staring at the multitudes of books. When she finally turned to leave, she bumped into a corner of the shelf. A book slid out of the shelf and fell to the floor. "Ow," she muttered, rubbing her side where she had hit the corner of the wood. She stooped to pick up the fallen book, and realized it was a journal. Just as she tried to put it back, something fell out of the pages.

I nod to myself, exhaling a slow breath before stepping out of the bathroom and shutting the door behind me. "Now what would you like to read?" I ask, walking over the coffee table and grabbing a small stack of books on the nightstand she'd placed there earlier. "Frog and Toad!" she says, and I chuckle, nodding as I grab the book and slip under the covers, scooting closer to her until she is glued to my side. I cross my right hand over her so her head is leaning on my chest just as I flip the book open to the first page.

"Rest well. Don't think about anything. I'll make you some soup to help you recover." If I had not known the truth, I would have thought I was the happiest man in the world. Now, this false tenderness was tearing my heart apart. Fiona brought over a steaming bowl of chicken noodle soup. "Honey, you look so pale. You have to drink it all." She fed me spoonful by spoonful. The aroma was enticing. It seemed she had put a lot of effort into it, but I tasted that familiar bitterness. It was that drug again!

The light decor and racks of book shelves stood organized and gave a welcoming feel. Jeremy followed Roy's gaze and clasped his hands together, nodding fervently. "No. I was simply helping out." Stepping in to pull the glass door Jeremy asked. "Would you like to come in for a couple of minutes?" Roy thought for a moment―processing Jeremy's invitation. Roy has never been interested in books but it was Jeremy's invite and Roy felt an inexplicable urge to follow Jeremy into the bookstore. He also had some time before he had to meet up with Sergio in EDEN.

Yеѕ, I have a mіllіоn mоrе bооkѕ tо read аnd a mіllіоn mоrе еxреrіеnсеѕ to gо through, but I hаvе a lіѕt оf books thаt have blоwn mе аwа у, thаt have рullеd mе in ѕо I lіvеd еvеrу wоrd оn thе раgе. Thоѕе are thе bооkѕ thаt you don’t fоrgеt, despite being a hundred bооkѕ оn, I’m ѕtіll hungover fоr thе trulу bеаutіful ones I lеft bеhіnd.” “Sо Kellan and Travis and thе others аrе lіkе thе Championship fіnаl fоr mе.”

Dropping a book from the shelves in another book, in a different world, but intertwine destiny, as the heroine and another shard soul of ‘hers’ took that defining sound of her every step and whispers. “DEATH REINCARNATE.” Misha’s voice echoes, as she took the book that had fallen from its shelves and into that dimly lit corner of the city’s grand library. With her puzzled mind, yet it wasn’t showed upon herself. She is ringing with thoughts and questions as to why a certain book in that particular genre is put into the section of religious one and the bible? Just how uncanny might a coincidence such as this occur? “Uncanny.”

I turn on the propane heater and sit down to try and read. The book I grab is a murder mystery and before I know it I am sucked in and can't stop flipping the pages. These are the best kinds of books, where you just can't put it down. I am almost to the climax of the book when I yawn and really need to use the bathroom. I set my book down and stretch out a little over dramatically like a cat after an afternoon nap. The view is so pretty from our balcony. I can see the tree line and the way the snow is falling is so peaceful. I love our new room.
