Sally said from behind. After returning to the apartment, Anne Jenner directly went to take a shower, then lay down on the bed. Because of the time difference, she got up late the next day, she hurriedly washed her face, put on her clothes, then took the phone down the stairs, crossed the main road to the Hone villa. While speeding through the second lane, suddenly a car sped up. Anne Jenner involuntarily backed away, her arm was held tightly again, pulling her back, causing her to collide with a hard chest, she looked up.

She couldn’t do anything at all for she was defenseless against Anne’s powers. But this one year, the last year before the sisters had been separated, was the year Anne had gone too far. She had planned to burn the house down with their mother in it. Adreanna was resting on the high peak of a bridge overlooking the small city – unbeknownst to her sister's plan.

It felt as though a pair of eyes were piercing through her soul. Inwardly shaken, she instinctively turned around, her gaze focused on the guy at the other end of the row. At the same time, he turned his direction on the late morning light coming from the window, his fingertips propping up his chin, a faint smile then emerged on his lips. Anne let out a weak shudder and walked away, her hands fixed on her pocket. 'Weird,' she said to herself as she made her way to the cafeteria. She grabbed a sandwich paired with a carbonated drink then dispatched from everyone's sight. She made her way to the deserted rooftop, settling down, eating her snack.

Sometimes they liked me more than my younger friend. My research had yielded some information, but not as much as I would have liked. I wanted to know everything I could about her. Her name was Annalyse Astrid Mitchell. She was a Senior in high school and just a month shy of her eighteenth birthday. Jules smiled and gestured me to go. As I walk my thoughts fly again. I also plan to visit mom in the hospital today because I’m sure her surgery is over. The pain in her abnomen from the recent miscarriage intensified, and cold sweat broke out on her back. Gerald felt her trembling under his grip but assumed it was from guilt and fear. He sneered and flung her forward. Anna, weak and defenseless, fell to the ground in front of the gravestone. "Kneel and atone!" Anna lifted her head, tears streaming down her face, only to be washed away by the rain. Her gaze at Gerald was filled with defiance and pain. "Gerald, I beg you to believe me, just this once. Anne left just before midnight, shoulders tight, eyes apologetic in that sweet way she always tries to be when she feels bad. Yesenia was blowing up her phone. Something about "curfews" and "you need to tell me when you disappear off the face of the planet, Anne!" Her voice carried through the hallway while Anne was getting her shoes on. I listened to every word. Anne tried to reassure her—like she always does, like she's responsible for everyone's emotional stability except her own.

"Yeah, I only slept for three hours last night." "And … some of your muscles are strained, probably from the accident last night. I’m sorry." A nurse then stepped inside, followed by a girl who trailed behind with hesitant steps. "This is the emergency contact we reached earlier," the nurse announced before leaving. Behind her appeared Lirena. She stood frozen at the doorway, her eyes red and swollen. When their eyes met, Daniel felt a pang in his chest far sharper than the injury to his ribs. "Dan .…" He immediately turned his gaze toward the window. He had forgotten to update his emergency contact; there had simply been no one else to list but her.

Anne woke early the next morning, the soft glow of dawn spilling through her bedroom window. She had a morning shift at the hospital, and despite lingering fatigue from the previous night, she pushed herself up, determined not to be late. Joy had slept soundly in her own room, still carrying the weight of worry over the boyfriend she hadn’t heard from. Anne called out briefly to let her know she was leaving, but when there was no response, she sighed and left a small note on the table, hoping it would reach her later.
