The Alpha’s Debt of Blood: The Unwanted Mate

The Alpha’s Debt of Blood: The Unwanted Mate

As the outcasts settled in, collapsing from exhaustion, I stepped out onto a ledge to watch the valley. The world below was a tapestry of fires. Far in the distance, I could see the lights of the Blood-Crag territory. They were flickering, unstable. I could almost hear the screams of the people as the Shadow-Walkers began their harvest. "They're coming for the outcasts first," a voice said. I didn't turn around. I knew the scent. It wasn't the smell of a wolf. it was the smell of old parchment and cold stone. "Hala."

Forever His

Forever His

I hear Jareth whisper once I’m inside. I start to crawl inside the metal duct being as stealthy as possible. A little further on I find the first grille through which I can have a peek inside the building, I see a tiny empty apartment. The whole building has apartments like this that the Righteous Regime is building for the Outcasts to live in. Outcasts are people who don’t belong to any of the ministries and don’t have steady jobs, they often have problems with substance abuse and occasionally cause trouble for Good Citizens. Making this building for them is an attempt by the Righteous Regime to give them decent housing for free. Too bad the Eels pretend to blow the building up.

Rogue

Rogue

"But I have to tell you something." I watched as Hunt started walking around the room. "There's been attacks recently. It's the rogues. They're moving in closer to the camp and to the town. They're getting bolder." "Can they harm us?" I asked and Hunt didn't reply right away. "Scott and I found another body yesterday." "Another?" I couldn't hide the surprise in my voice. "There's been four before you arrived. That is why we were so cautious when we found you around the camp."

OUT OF HIS FRAME

OUT OF HIS FRAME

At the start of graduation season, my boyfriend took more than two hundred photos of Madison Vale. Chase Whitman was president of Westbridge University’s photography club. He knew how to find flattering light and how to coax people out of stiff smiles. Madison stood beneath the maples outside the library in a white dress, her graduation cap tucked under one arm. “Am I taking up too much of your time?” she asked. Chase checked the last few shots and smiled. “You make my job easy.” When it was finally my turn, he barely looked at me. “Stand by the tree.” He clicked the shutter twice and lowered the camera. “Done.” I stared at him. “That’s it?” He turned the screen toward me. In one photo my ey

FROST OBSESSION

FROST OBSESSION

"Stop acting like a pup. Look at you. You’re already staring." Luke’s gaze had already drifted. At the far end of the ice, near the player’s tunnel, a new figure had appeared. Castel "Cass" Castillo. He wasn't a girl, but he moved with a fluid, dangerous grace that made Luke’s inner wolf pace behind his ribs. Cass was wearing a jagged black jersey with a silver wolf-skull—the mark of the outcast clans from the Blackwood Haunted Mansion district. "That's him," Jax whispered, following Luke’s eyes. "The one you’ve been howling about at practice. Castel."

THE CEO'S STOLEN SECONDS

THE CEO'S STOLEN SECONDS

It came to a bone-jarring halt against a massive concrete pillar. "Out! Out! Out!" Marcus roared, throwing the sliding door open. He didn't wait for my foot to heal. He hooked his arm under my waist. Hauled me out of the smoking wreckage of the van. His heavy boots splashed through puddles of oil and stagnant water. We scrambled toward a reinforced steel door labeled DATA INFRASTRUCTURE: UNIT 04.

Mated To My Stepbrother

Mated To My Stepbrother

Protecting *himself* from the taint of me. Tears mixed with the rain on my face, hot and shameful. Weak. Crying again. Always crying. Omega tears. Meaningless. I stumbled over a gnarled root, crashing hard onto my hands and knees in the slick mud. The impact jarred through me, a sharp, clarifying pain. I stayed there for a moment, gasping, mud soaking through my jeans, the cold seeping into my bones. The pack feeling was fainter here, muffled by the trees and the rain, but it was still there. A low, insidious thrum at the edge of my awareness. *Outcast. Runaway. Failure.*

I look down at the sidewalk to see four strip

Good read! I see that there was planning to have a sequel, any updates on that? One comment (a year ago) you said probably a couple months. Another comment (10 months ago) you said a few months. Would really love for this story to continue with the side characters! :)

The Outcast’s Fate

The Outcast’s Fate

They moved in silence, seasoned by years in the woods. Three of them Callen, Harst, and old Greer—had taken the high trail by the western ridge. “Tracks,” Harst muttered, crouching low. But Callen didn’t answer. He had spotted something ahead. A figure. Naked. Bruised. Collapsed at the base of a tree, skin pale as bone, cuts tracing her arms and legs like forgotten scars, her hair tangled and soaked with sweat. Samantha. The men approached cautiously, uncertain if she was a spirit, a lost child, or something else entirely.
