Piper "You guys, please stop," Eve pleaded to her friends, acting the part of the suffering peacekeeper. "Piper, don't mind them. Let's just go." She stepped closer, wrapping her arm around mine in a forced hug. I let out a sigh, the exhaustion of the morning finally catching up to me. I pulled my arm out of her grasp and looked her dead in the eye. "Eve, I honestly don't have time for whatever game you're playing right now. Stop bothering me."

I was sure that he’d want his own place if he ended up staying here long term. Piper took it upon herself to tell him about the pack, at least what she’d experienced so far, and how much fun training was. She even flexed her muscles, as if two days of training were enough to build them up. “Wow,” Jory said as he felt them. “Nice!” Piper grinned proudly, happy with his reaction. Then she proceeded to tell him that she wanted to be a warrior when she got older. He ruffled her hair and said that she’d make a great one.

Midway through morning, I was interrupted by Piper, who was out of breath, seemingly from running all the way to my office. “Piper? Though the officers had finally released her, their lingering gazes and stern expressions made it clear: she was still under suspicion. Across town, in an abandoned church, Piper stepped into the dimly lit sanctuary. A black scarf shrouded her head, partially concealing her face. A nose mask obscured her features, making her nearly unrecognizable. Piper's gaze swept the deserted pews, lingering on the shattered stained glass window's jagged edges. Dust motes danced in the faint light, and the air reeked of decay. She stepped cautiously, her footsteps echoing

Piper has stuck a claw into her chest and is slowly pulling what look likes a black thread from within her, she thrashes around trying to get away and the Wards move closer and make ready one the boxes given to them by Tabitha. “I WILL HAUNT YOU! UMI AVENGE MEEEEE!” she looks down at the man trapped and bleeding beneath me before falling limp as soon as the thread leaves her body completely, Piper drops it into the box and the Wards close it and seal it.
