Why would you choose those hurtful words to lash out at me?” she interrupted me. A sudden realization dawned upon me that I possessed the power to inflict pain upon her with ease. She seemed excited and was giving me an expectant look. As if there was anything more that I can give her! I simply smiled at her politely as I don’t even have the right words to say to her.
