Anna silently nodded as she smiled again. "Maybe you will get along. She might go out tonight. You guys should meet each other." Anna glanced at the direction of her friend's house. Archer followed her gaze and was surprised that she was looking at the house where he heard the awful screaming earlier. He wanted to ask about it, but it's none of his business and he doesn't care. "See you around Archer!" She hopped away happily. Archer was happy to get rid of the girl. She was too loud, almost annoying. He could've left her the moment she said hi, but her mystery kept him from moving.

‘Sorry can’t resist my wife,” He chuckled, everyone else breaking out in laughter. I took a deep breath as he said as I briefly closed my eyes. I turned the arrow towards the fire, lighting it up before I took my aim and letting go of the arrow, I have heard of Luna’s who have been banished because of this moment and I couldn’t stop thinking of what might happen. The arrow shot straight on the spot as the ring lit up as I smiled briefly. “Yes,” I said almost in a whisper as I turned to Annabel, who lowered her head before turning away.

Guns were nothing to him. He was more lethal with an arrow. He truly was a real life superhero with not only his skill on the team, but also in the bedroom.

I stood at the entrance, watching him. "Arrow," I called gently. He stopped and turned slowly, his face tight with pain and rage. "You fucking failed," I said. His jaw tightened and looked away. "I lost Night and Poison," he said, voice low and rough. "They're gone." My heart ached too. Night and Poison were my brothers too even though none of use were related by blood, just like arrow. "It was supposed to be Athena," I said quietly. "She was the target." Arrow picked up a chair and threw it across the room. It hit the wall and broke into pieces. He put both hands on the table in front of him, head down.

But every inch of it felt like armor. Arrow was worse: he was impossibly controlled. Calculated. Distant. But she also saw flickers of something else: tension, fatigue, quiet sparks of frustration. They weren’t so different after all. One night, long after midnight, Celeste wandered into the living room of the suite. She found Arrow standing by the window, sleeves rolled up, sketchbook in hand. “You draw,” she said softly. He didn’t turn. “When I can’t sleep.” “Let me guess. Every night?”

Although I knew how ruthless Arthur was, I wasn’t expecting this level of brutality. Why am I always mated to jerks? I face-palmed. Xavier was a first-class jerk, but this one? I didn’t even know where to place him.
