Riana Rivera's POV My wolf Ashlely and my vampire self-Luciana had both completely shut me out in anger at me. I now felt so alone in a world full of up to 6 billion people. A month had passed and I now lived in an apartment that was located in the busy city of New York City as a human and lived on the money from one of my private bank accounts. For each day that went by for me without any of my mates I felt like I was having a heart attack and was dying slowly piece by piece.

Goud introduces. “Oh! I know Mr. Cain. He was the witch that had my whole pack killed and then my mother” River says ever so sweetly. As she snatches back, the hand he was lowering after hearing her words. River feels very little magic in him. “Not so brave now you haven’t got your magic, huh?” River goads. He tries to snatch his hand back, but River tightens hers around it. “Mr. Cain here, heard about my ability to stop magic and the fact I can see certain events of past and future. He believed that if he could make me his mate. Then that ability would help him rule over everything!” River states very calmly.

I bit my lip and looked up at River, hoping he had an answer. “We got into a fight,” River said truthfully. “Then Dallas ran off to the creek and fell in. I saved her, and she had to change her clothes.” I stared at him in disbelief and awe because that was almost believable. Helen raised her eyebrows but chuckled. Helen shook her head. She Probably already knew what we were really up to. “Xavier and Lyle are upstairs asleep,” Helen said. We nodded in understanding. When Helen walked away, River and I bursted into a fit of laughter. River and I looked up at the party. We both watched as Hunter walked to his vehicle. Hunter stole one last glance from me.

“You should’ve worn more layers, then. Look at your hands. They’re so cold. “What wishes did you make?” I numbly watched him continue with his loving act. “About us and my mom.” Dale froze and gave me a meaningful look. “River’s your half-sister. She’s your family, no matter what. She’s sad that your mother died too, and you only have each other left for family. It’s been three years. Why don’t you…” I knew what he was implying. “I know. I won’t kick up a fuss anymore.”

He saw one of his classmates and was only able to tell them he thought he was going into shock. Amber saw Mara turn both the parents with her vampiric blood and slaved them into being part of the clan. Then the vision stopped, and Amber fell to her knees. Never had she had a vision so detailed or so real. She had to call her dad and mom again. This could not be just a change in her power. This had to be something else. She felt Henry’s pain and shock. She felt his distress and helpless guilt. She knew something had changed, but this was something more.
