I stood upright despite my trembling legs, gasping for breath. The sorcerer moved closer. With a swift motion, he created a long ice blade glowing with an icy blue light in his hand. The blade shot forward and carved a deep diagonal slash across my chest. The pain was unbearable. I staggered backwards, pressing a hand against the wound. My blood poured freely, dripping onto the stone floor. But then something strange happened. The blood that touched the ice blade suddenly ignited. Not ordinary fire—this fire was black, yet hotter than any normal flame.

I quit," again the same words but this time they came from a frightened little girl in front of the powerful Regulus Hesse. She was even trembling and after she whispered a soft apology and bowed her head as if she was before nobility, she ran away. "Contestant Hesse pass to the second stage," the host announced again and the applause couldn't wait to be heard. The next fights took place as planned, no more quits, and Emma was delighted to see the battles by the side of Ben and Master Eli. "Look, Miss Mina," Ben showed the crystal to Emma, "he is using ice magic, that is very rare in a dragon." "What do you mean?" She had seen the Duke and Master Jin use it before without any trouble.

Fires burned bright and fiercely. My body no longer held any feeling for pain as I again slammed into the ground. A large door made of ice stood before me. I moved without thinking—my hand resting against the cold surface. Dark magic poured from my fingertips, fire pushing into the ice, melting it away, layer by layer until nothing stood in front of me.

The temple’s training yard glowed with magic as Elara dodged a spray of ice, her scar blazing. Beside her, he lunged, his shadow magic coiling around a practice dummy, while Ellie wove silver fire between them, creating a barrier that turned the ice to steam. “Faster!” the ice witch called, her blue flames flickering as she conjured another wave of frost. “The Ice Lord won’t hesitate. He’ll freeze you before you can blink.”

He explained as he closes his hands as the mana disappeared. Alesteria is fascinated by this, her eyes twinkling in delight as she stared at Ich with an amazed expression. "If you want to see a real illusionary magic..." Ich felt a little better seeing her expression as he smirked, snapping his fingers as the mana that he had previously shown to them made Ich change his appearance. "You should've just done this." His black hair changed into white, eyes turned into violet, while his skin turned lighter and more flour-like than his usual caramel tone.

[ Scarlett POV ] I stayed on the ice for a while after he left. Not drilling. Just skating. Slow, easy laps, the kind where your body moves on its own and your brain does what it wants. The rink was completely empty and completely quiet and the ice was already starting to pick up the marks from our footwork, small cuts in the surface that caught the light at certain angles. She was someone who got hurt. Because I didn't do enough to stop it. He'd said it like he'd been carrying it for a long time. Like the weight of it had shaped the way he stood.

“And now entering the ice—Lian Mateo Alonzo-Kensington! USA's rising dual-type sensation, Chicago's pride and even the pride of Filipinos. Fast, flashy, dangerously talented, and yes, Demidov’s favorite rival. With him, is his team Chicago Frost Titans” The crowd screamed so loudly that the rink shook. Kensington skated a slow arc, letting the wind magic curl around him as diamond shaped frost weave across the wind just enough to be dramatic. The cameras loved it, and the fans loved it. Yaroslav hated yet loved it at the same time. He hated how he has the perfect image as a magic wielder ice hockey player that he isn't but love him for how he shines on the rink and how Kensington seems to gl

said Albus impatiently. "My pleasure, mate," said Lycus Lewis, grinning widely. He then cast a spell to send an army of ice crystal dragons made by Albus one by one to the point where the cursed Mana Tree was. "Good, now we're following Draco to the center of the battle," said Albus, banging his fan open. The white fan made of a thin layer of ice expanded, then floated in the air. Albus jumped on top of the white fan and rode it. He motioned for Lycus to come up on the fan with him. Lycus jumped up and stood up straight while holding the scepter with the tip touching the ground.

With a swift gesture, he unleashed a powerful surge of icy energy toward Dorian Phoenix, freezing the very air around him. "Impossible!" Dorian cried out in shock, his movements slowed by the encroaching ice. "How dare you interfere with my plans!" "Now, Miss Seraphine!" Jesse shouted, his voice cutting through the icy wind. "Finish him while he's vulnerable!"
