Once the image of the wolf formed completely, Alpha Zane's eyes suddenly closed, and he fell to the floor. Kane came forward, but the priestess raised her hand to stop him. The ritual wasn't complete yet. She closed her eyes and continued with her chants, the fire growing bigger and bigger. Suddenly, the wolf turned away from Zane's unconscious body, and it bounded off at top speed. The priestess finally let her hands down, and the fire died slowly too. She opened her eyes, now blank and without the colored part. Kane watched, his eyes thin. The priestess closed her eyes again, and took in a deep breath. When she opened her eyes again, she was back to normal.

He snarls as my puke hits his pelt, but he doesn't slow down. "Close eyes," he orders, and I quickly obey. My world goes dark, and my brain zeros in on my pain again. Nathan. My Love is gone. The forest I dreamed of seeing took him, and I wasn't allowed to follow. Sobbing once again becomes my sole focus, and the beast carrying me doesn't say anything else. His arm does tighten, though, and my face buries into his fur. His hand holding me goes from an aggressive grip to a firm hold. It's as if he understands my pain.

The other wolves came out and circled around him. They bared their fangs at him. Some snarled some growled and some even snapped at him. They were ready to jump on him all at once. “It’s too late, Ezekiel,” the wolf told him and titled his head sideways, “get him.” Everyone pounced at him all at once and the night was filled with howls and cries. Blood splattered on flowers and trees. Each took a turn for an attack just to be thrown off to a nearby trunk and break down.

She said. “Finally! But Beauty and the Beast style? What the fuck?” I questioned. Koa laughed before responding, “Everybody is different sweetie.” Although beams of light didn’t shoot out of his fingers and toes like the beast did, it still reminded me of that final scene in the movie. It only took a minute or two and his body was back on the bed and his marked stopped glowing. As soon as it stopped glowing I walked up to look at his mark. It was a green wolf head howling with what looked like water splashing up behind it.
