“Fantasy?” Came the uncertain inquiry through the bullhorn that sounded out loudly amongst the hustle and bustle of the crowded pier. Raising my hand I picked up my duffel bag and began making my way forward. As I walked the men about me stared. They always stared. It was kind of nice and yet annoying at the same time. It didn’t help that my Russian born mother so enamored with her relocation to a new and in her eyes, ‘fantasy land’ of America had named me as such.

I really didn’t notice this the first time I came across it, maybe because I travelled at a really fast pace when I first came here. “It’s so pretty.” I said out loud. Prince Shiro looked at me with a smile on his face. The wide open fields reminded me of a park that I visited back when I had free time in between deployments. I know I’ve seen the map of this entire region but I’m curious if there are any other regions besides the one within the maps. What awaits us outside of this region? I began to think of every possibility of what could be out there. I’ve only known the 5 Empires within this whole region: The North, South, East, West and the Central Empire.

' Alexis sat on the edge of her seat waiting expectantly for the insult to come, but the door opened and dwarfs swarmed in with tea pots and delicious smelling cakes and sweets. Alexis frowned. 'Now I'll never know... what an inconvenient dream' she pouted. Emilia chatted about many subjects after that, from the fashion which was very Victorian and medieval styled to the types of cuisine and she also filled Alexis on the type of currency in this Empire, which Alexis was very thankful for, but the more she heard of such unfamiliar terms and ideas the more she felt like this might not just be a dream.

Caleb ignored that part, his attention soon homing in on the mention of Corvus. "What are the other nations of Middleton?" he asked. "There are three empires—the Kuat Empire, the Jormund Empire, and the Corvus Empire! Each of them is backed by a Sanctuarian clan or sect." Caleb nodded thoughtfully. The empires would definitely be more powerful than fiefs like Zoronda and Danmarch. That was why they were called empires! Fafnir watched Caleb just then. "What's on your mind, boss?"

They only knew her for a name and a warm cup. At night she walked the beach and pressed her palm to her belly. The child slept like a small island. She dreamed of Adrian—not as a titan but as the younger man who once looked at her like the world made sense. In the dream he read a letter and left. She woke with salt in her mouth. Days folded into months. She learned small rhythms: how to mend a shirt, how to make bread, how to make silence a shelter. Sophia called often. “We found investors,” she said. “Quiet money, slow moves.”

*** *Adrian* I gazed pensively down upon the glittering cityscape spread out before me. Thoughts of my vendetta against MID flickered through my mind, and I imagined the spoils of victory that would flood my veins when I revealed to the world how despicable the company was. I had already uncovered a labyrinth of lies and deceit. There were just a few more moving parts I needed to validify before I was ready to begin hammering the nails into the proverbial coffin.

"You fight systems to rise. I built them to rule. Why resist?" Sake burned silk fire down my throat, loosening the knot his proximity always tied. "Because your empire's built on engineered ruins—scandals, leaks, blood like Rourke's neck. I'm no pawn for your Tokyo games." He leaned closer, scarred jaw inches from mine, heat radiating no touch—torture exquisite. "Pawn? No. Queen." Obsidian eyes bored soul-deep, half-smirk curving lethal. "I fell first, Nia. Two years past—your TED talk. 'Crisis as Catalyst.' Dissected corporate lies like a surgeon and hacked your life that night. Runs mapped, strategies stolen, Darius's files unearthed. Obsessed. Dangerous minds recognize their match."

It is located at the northwest of the Imperial continent, its eastern border connects to the Northern Realm barbarian land, southeast connects to The Great Phoenix Empire and The south connects to two other smaller empires. Its unique topography made the empire nearly invincible when it comes to defensive warfare. Because of this, The Empire didn't need to maintain the garrison force as much as the other empire and could dispatch most of its force to invade others or fight in a few skirmishes near the border to get some benefit.

After the great war, the Empire was divided into 5 lands, the Northland Warine, the Southland Marshforth, the Eastland Downbridge, the Westland Hurthend, and the middle of the empire, Runalia. Each of the lands had their own lord and was famous with many tales behind the land. Some were ferocious with only mythical creatures or beast around and some mixed with each other to learn how they could co-exist with the human.

“To answer your question, the thrones of two kings are only limited to SO. On the other hand, the imperial throne is the rightful place of our beloved Emperor.” Did he… ignore my question? Aidan clenched his trembled fists. “What is your empire? To what extent?” Firash inquired, pointedly ignoring his elder brother. “Her empire includes all the affiliates in almost all countries that exist on the world map. Except for a few, of course.” The rest of them were collectively listening to them. The second question was answered by the otherwise silent Sleepy. It showed the importance of the information. It was always important if the tight-lipped voluntarily released the information themselves.
