Flowing the land and filling to the streams of the connecting river. Death! Bodies are piled high like the mountain. Scattered the once happy lands. Screams! They are louder every passing time. Piercing into everyone's ears from afar. Even the strongest of foes must quiver at the sound. Ash! It’s falling from the sky and onto the ground, scorching the land. Gone are the trees and fields. The once earthy and breezy place has decayed. Darkness! The sun has not risen since the war started. All lands have been cursed. One can not tell whether it's night or day unless you tap into the source of the cause. The energy of the dark witch Ophelia and this was only the beginning.

It was brand new. Blaze wasn’t aware that she preferred this genre. Derek Landy was known for his dark fantasy books. Dang it! He should have let her choose on her own right from the beginning. ‘Right’ His wolf chimed in, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Lilith brought the open book close to her nose and breathed in deeply. The feel of the smooth and crisp paper, that magical smell of a book being opened for the very first time was soothing. She felt lucky for being the first one to open it.

I thought to myself, cringing inwardly. My eyes landed on Mirai, who offered me an encouraging smile. Her straight white hair flowed around her, so long, it draped down past her chair. Her eyes, the same platinum white, were tinged with just a hint of darkness where her irises and pupils should be, giving her an air of mystery. She wore a lavender crystal sphere around her neck that glowed faintly from within. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of power resided inside it. I could always feel the energy radiating from it whenever she was nearby. I gave her a nearly imperceptible nod before looking away.

" My voice was shaking with terror as I asked. She remained silent. Rather, she moved in closer and stroked my hair. I felt like I had known her my entire life, so I didn't flinch. Then she moved close to me and said softly but firmly in a whisper, "The light rests inside of you." Follow the fire when it beckons. I stood confused, surprised by what she had said. She caressed my cheek again and gave me a dejected smile. "Take care my child," she whispered. Suddenly, a thick, silvery fog rose from the ground. It lifted her off her feet, curling around her like a living creature. "Hold on—!" I cried out as I reached through the fog, but all I could grasp was cold mist. "Who are you? Who is Lig

Luca turned his head slightly, eyes fixed on the sky. “They’re close,” he said softly. Lily froze. “Who?” she whispered. Luca blinked once. “Friends.” Luke’s expression hardened instantly. “No. No, that’s not happening.” But the rift responded. A pulse of light shot outward. The battlefield trembled. Then— Something emerged. Not fully. Not yet. A hand. Massive. Non-human. Made of shifting light and void intertwined, it pressed against the edge of reality like something testing a boundary it had never crossed before.

“It’s not a blank book see” I hold up the book to show him the page I’m currently reading. He bursts out laughing. “Well it must be written in invisible ink because all I see is a blank book” I look up at Delilah confused as she all but runs to me. “Hmm curious. Faith can you really read that book?” “Yes it’s about the history of the three fates and a some what prophets it mentions the child of light, the moon goddess’s blessed and the dark knight” Both Destin and Delilah look at each other in shock.

It was nothing like I ever saw. I picked the book of shining light. It was a big book and it had such an inscribed and ancient design. On the cover, there was an evil looking being and an angelic being. They each were on fighting positions. It’s like they wanted to attack each other. Curiosity led me to open the book. My fingers stopped working when the pages of the book flipped open by themselves. I was astounded. It stopped at a page. A page I desperately read. And so it was said, that every millennium. A war between the brothers of light and the brothers of darkness shall take place. The…

Now let's talk about my other books. Nightmare Land is not changing, but I am re-editing the first 18 chapters, which I will try to finish as soon as I can. Again, I will try to get the re-edits out with a new chapter, so just bear with me. Not only that, but I'm trying to add on a new book called Dark Tales of the Alive Undead. I have received no response about that either, but I'm waiting for an entire week to see if my editor will respond. I know they say to wait a whole month for new books, but this is also about my other books.

***Rolf's POV*** The small city outside Lyngvi has all the amenities you would expect, but with a focus on getting soldiers to part with their monthly paychecks from the Regency. Everything, restaurants, clubs, tattoo parlors, car dealerships, and even some of the seedy strip joints that started popping up more and more since the mate bonds of the past started to fail to happen. From what I read, it started before The Darkness emerged from the warlock tribes of Somsak.
