“Fantasy?” Came the uncertain inquiry through the bullhorn that sounded out loudly amongst the hustle and bustle of the crowded pier. Raising my hand I picked up my duffel bag and began making my way forward. As I walked the men about me stared. They always stared. It was kind of nice and yet annoying at the same time. It didn’t help that my Russian born mother so enamored with her relocation to a new and in her eyes, ‘fantasy land’ of America had named me as such.

I looked at the map. The dots didn’t mean anything at first. Just little lights over territories that were, to me, still just recent names. Silverfang. Shadowy Valleys. A community of lesser fairies north of Eclipse. A village of rural witches near the human border. Two mixed settlements that had barely made the news because they lacked the political clout of a major pack. Small places. Maxon had always loved small things when they served to build a big cage. Remembering that sent a sharp pang through my head.

Standing there in the garden as Erica looked around the magical garden she never knew that there is a world beyond her little village, where dreams and imagination intertwined; there existed a wondrous place like this enchanted garden. She would never have believed even if anyone told her about it. It was a realm of pure magic, a sanctuary untouched by time, where nature flourished in its most magnificent and fantastical forms.

Every morning, I would sneak out, practice my punches on the carved wood, and teach myself self-defense since Gabriel and Hunter refused to teach me. Despite our playful rivalry, they still made sure I had enough to eat. I had to admit, Gabriel was an excellent cook. His meals were incredibly delicious. But I wasn't going to let him know that. Besides Gabriel and Hunter, there were a few other people living in the small village. I learned about this when I pestered Gabriel to fetch me some grapes. Eventually, I followed him and discovered that the village was named Daekin, after a deceased leader.

“What happened to Slyven?” “I didn’t say I was going to jump to marry the guy, just wanted to talk to him again.” Xylia rolled her eyes at her mom. “What about a village?” Rayne asked, looking confused. “When I was there, I was dancing, and the fairies were dancing with me. A brownie was being silly, and I think something else was there, I can’t recall. Anyway, I made a little village for them. I figured they needed homes.” Xylia shrugged her shoulders as she looked at her mom. “I called it Stone Village.”

There's a custom in our village. Before getting married, every man has to bring his girlfriend to the chapel to pay their respects. If they come back out safely, it means the couple is destined to live happily together for the rest of their lives. Both of my younger brothers are married at 20. Meanwhile, I'm 30 and still single. It's not that I don't want to settle down, but every girlfriend I bring into the chapel ends up breaking up with me after she comes out. Some even try to kill me. I do miss Levi, especially his kind, flirtatious smile. I had a long, much-needed bath. The dress they gave me is woven with such detail and handmade. It fit the weather quite fittingly along with it being very comfortable. I exit the house, beholding as some people have started cleaning up the mess that the neighbouring kingdom had caused. Their actions are far from neighbourly. I could also see eagles flying in circles high in the blue heavens. That must be why this village is called EagleWatch. The people must believe that they watch over them. Perhaps they do? I wouldn't know.

I don't know if it has her in a trance or something bebecause I would love to try it. Well, let me give you some details if the things she forgot to tell you.. Alice and She named the school Jeallyn's Gifted Academy , it sounds good right? 😆, I helped them a little, aren't I a good brother? They are both lazy so they employed two managers to handle each section. So lazy. The school is really blossoming, both and poor and rich attend. Though the money for the rich is higher then the poor. The school is packed and that gives us a lot of money, when I say 'US I meant me, Alice and Jean, I helped them out so they had to give me and, moreover, am her elder brother so it's a must.

I have heard the people of this mysterious tribe call it many names - the Spring, the Oasis, the Abyss, and the Well of Horns, or simply just the Well. The first time I saw it, I described it as more like a Well of Teeth. Now I have only one name for it. The Crossing."
