“Fantasy?” Came the uncertain inquiry through the bullhorn that sounded out loudly amongst the hustle and bustle of the crowded pier. Raising my hand I picked up my duffel bag and began making my way forward. As I walked the men about me stared. They always stared. It was kind of nice and yet annoying at the same time. It didn’t help that my Russian born mother so enamored with her relocation to a new and in her eyes, ‘fantasy land’ of America had named me as such.

I was hoping that at least he would support me in the fight for Elle. I have two fighters in the competition. They are the best and most prepared in the Golden Moon pack. I hope we manage to win the competition and show everyone that we are a real force in the world of werewolves. This competition takes place every four years. Last time we won second place. It wasn't bad at all but this year we were hoping for more. And I want to win everything here. The grand prize is Elle. "Are you listening to me, Brandon?" I hear Michael say.

Tomorrow, we all will be tested. The warrior competition is an annual 18-year-olds competition hosted by the five major packs, rotating annually. This year, my pack, the Brimstone Pack, is hosting the competition. The people who excel in the challenge get to enter the Lycan Royal School for four years of study, but the people who fail will return to their respective packs in shame to begin whatever work that will be waiting for them.

I asked my friend from the writing industry if he can give me the partial list of writers that would participate in the contest. I looked at my phone to see if he already had nee updates but it was rather odd, it felt like I am interested in what would happen next in the story because I think it would happen to me as well.

I blinked and gave a sheepish nod. “It’s the biggest tournament in the entire realm!” she exclaimed, her eyes glowing with excitement. “It happens every five years when the Blue Moon draws near. The Werewolf High Council hosts it, and schools from all over the packs and clans send their strongest, smartest, and most beautiful students ages eighteen to twenty four, to compete.” “And every species gets to join in!” Nyx added, bouncing excitedly. “Werewolves, vampires, witches, faes, sirens, everyone!”

"To cut the story short, this pack has its advantage and disadvantage" Okay, another hint of mystery. "There are two most important advantages; you will learn new things. What I mean by that is, because different people come from different path of the world, you will get to learn new things. Most especially the market days" Sounds interesting. "Number two; every end of the month, a contest will be held and each and every one will bring out his/her skills. The one with the best skills would be rewarded." "What type of skills?" "Anyone. Be it painting, cooking, archery, or fighting. Interesting right?"

Nana shrugged and picked up the book Avril was reading before they arrived. “So, you are signing up for this competition everyone is talking about?” Chidi asked as she checked the cover of the book in Nana's hands. It was the history, stories and rules guiding The Weak End Tournament. “Of course! I would not miss something that can make me have my life all over.” “I wish I could join in. But nah, we are only permitted to serve around the event venue. Avril, do you know the prize includes a car, a horse and carriage with a collection of fighting weapons?” Nana butt in.
