I have gone through a lot these past few days and keeping up with this is Way too much for me… Slowly I feel my eyes close shut om hair on accord knowing it's finally coming to an end. I would finally get to know who is truly behind all these,I might find a way out Andi might not. Fear of the unknown is greater than anything else. Giving In and no fixing things any longer I close my eyes shut prepared to meet with my fate.

He stayed where he was, leaning against the counter beside me, close enough that our arms were nearly touching, and drank his tea and looked at the snow, and the silence between us was the kind I had stopped trying to fill. "Tell me something," he said after a while. "What?" "Something true. Something you wouldn't normally say." I looked at him. He was still watching the window. "I haven't felt like myself in a long time," I said. "I came here to find out if I still knew how. And I think I'm more frightened of finding out I do than finding out I don't." He was quiet for a moment. "Why?" "Because if I do, I have to decide what to do with it."

She asked, gesturing to the book with her eyes. Thoughts ran through my mind, those flowing with curiosity and others flowing with fear. I want to know, but I'm afraid of my friends finding out something bad about my kind and deeming me a threat. Casting me out. I don't think I can stomach what it would feel like to see looks of fear on their faces directed to me. With a shaky breath, I nodded in agreement as Remmi opened the book, turning to the very last section of the tome, the one labeled 'Syrens'.

Something deeper. Desire. Maybe this was desire. He looked like he was holding himself back. Like he wanted to move closer but was gripping the edge of control with both hands. And the strange thing? I didn’t feel the need to run. I felt curious. Nervous. But not afraid. “I’m learning,” I said softly. “What this means. What it feels like. I want to know more, but I’m scared I’ll do something wrong. Or go too fast. Or make you uncomfortable.”

There was also a clicking sound that never seemed to stop. I looked directly at the face of the man but it was just blues out. "Wh... What are you?" I asked out of fear. "Haha. You couldn't tell what I was?" He said. I gulped and turned my gaze to his feet. His feet didn't even touch the floor. I was scared of the question I had asked him. "I am the greatest fear of man. I am that horror that eats mortals up from their bones. I am the fear of the unknown. I am the unknown!" He declared.

Fear gripped me, sending shivers down my spine. Sensing the weight of the unknown bearing down upon me, I knew I had to leave the library and seek solace in the familiarity of my own space. With trembling hands, I gathered the books I had intended to study with, clutching them tightly as if they could shield me from the chilling reality that had just unveiled itself.

Not the kind that came from battle, not the kind that came from facing enemies. This was a different kind of fear. The fear of the unknown. The fear of something that could change everything. And I knew—deep down—this moment was going to stay with her forever. Because after tonight, nothing would ever be the same again.

"I knew the name." "But you didn't—" I stopped. "But I didn't know you," he said. "Knowing a name is not knowing. The bookshop was knowing." He paused. "You looked at me and didn't look away and I knew something specific about you from that. Not the details. Something true." "What did you know?" I said. "That you were not afraid of me," he said. "People were always afraid of me. They performed not being afraid which is a different thing entirely. You simply weren't." He paused. "I had not encountered that in a very long time."

Somehow I can see fear, but I am not so sure. “If you want, you can ask questions while I enjoy my meal, I will try to answer, but you will have to excuse my manners. I am starving,” I sheepishly smiled at him. Voltaire I don’t know how to describe what I feel right now. The fear of the unknown is consuming me. I don’t know what to expect. I don’t know what to analyze from my situation. I don’t know how to receive everything I see and hear from her. She is my target to kill, but why do I feel like I am the one being chased in the dark. I cannot read between the lines, nor can I see hints along to have an idea of what on earth I am doing.
