DAYA POV The last 12 hours have been indescribable. I lie. I can describe it all, but I will only make myself blush by replaying it in my head. I have never felt so connected to another person. I don’t regret spending the night…and parts of the morning, with Darius. I still get small shocks of tingles and sparks up my body when I think about him. The full moon is the day after tomorrow and I still don’t know what I want to do. I know I want Darius, but the fear of the plague has me hesitant to accept the actual mate bond. Darius and I spoke about it between our bouts in his bedroom and letting our wolves run together.

She tilted her head, looking at Liana with a relaxed, casual curiosity in her dark eyes. ​"So..." Nina started, a subtle smirk playing on her lips. " what really happened last night? Who did you spend the night with?" ​Liana was mid-bite, and the question made her choke instantly. She coughed into her napkin, her eyes watering as she scrambled to grab her glass of water and take a quick gulp. ​"omg Nina! Its not what you think!" Liana stammered, setting the glass back down. "Oh yeah?" Nina smirtked smugly "then tell me where you went last night".

The thought of confiding in Luna or anyone else filled me with dread, the fear of judgment and disbelief paralyzing me with uncertainty. As the night wore on, I huddled in my bed, haunted by the echoes of his menacing words. Sleep eluded me, my mind consumed by a relentless cycle of fear and despair. In the silence of the night, I felt utterly alone, trapped in a nightmare from which there seemed to be no escape.

I yelled at Night stomping towards him while he backed away in fear. Out of blue moon Shade started laughing. Me and Night looked at each other and then at Shade as if he was a patient from mental hospital. “ why are you laughing?” I asked Shade took his time laughing before replying. “ it’s just….ummmm When the hell did Night started being afraid of anyone especially woman?” “ Night is afraid of me? bullshit! “ I spat and turned towards Night and my jaw dropped seeing his cheeks flushed pink “ what the…… are you really ……?” I could not form the words.

Killian’s words were stuck in my head and I feared that he would come and claim his prize in the dead of the night. The mere thought of that, kept me up all night. °°°°°°°°°°°°° My puffy and red eyes itched a I walked down to the hallway. It was another morning, and I had not gotten a wink of sleep last night. The fear that I would get ambushed in my sleep by Killian kept me up all night.

Shelly’s POV Night has fallen once more, engulfing me in an oppressive darkness that matches the weight in my heart. A short while ago, one of Falcon's men took away my untouched dinner plate. Hunger gnaws at me, but fear grips me tighter, strangling any appetite I might have had. The screams from earlier still echo in my ears, haunting my thoughts and denying me any semblance of peace. Terror has been my constant companion since I arrived here.

Wanted desperately to trust that everything would be okay. But fear was stronger. Fear fed by threatening messages and nightmares and the weight of knowing people were planning violence specifically because of her. Around three AM, the nightmares had gotten worse. Rose screaming in her sleep about Uncle Cas covered in blood. About wolves attacking. About me dying protecting her. About war tearing apart the pack. I'd woken her. Held her through another bout of sobbing. Felt the fear rolling off her in waves through the mate bond—tangible, overwhelming, absolutely consuming.

“Look, I don't know what happened, but he's not who you think he is, or did you forget everything that he did?” Aiden paused for a second to glare at the one who had said that. “He probably had a reason to do what he did.” He turned back and started calling my name again, probably expecting me to come to him. I didn't want to, though, because if it was him, I didn't deserve to see him. However, before I could turn and run away, a pair of Nightmare Eyes flew into sight. Not seeing me, of course their eye landed on the four trespassers. For a second they did nothing, and I held my breath hoping they would continue to do nothing.

He had told her he saw her. He had told her he wanted to know more. He had apologized. No one had apologized to her in a very long time. The memory of that night long ago rose in her, not the death, not the pain, but the shame. The loneliness. The moonlight. The window. The fear of being watched. It spilled out of her like water from a broken bucket. And Ben dreamed it. When he woke, she could feel the shift in him. The fear that wasn’t his. The awareness.

“I can see you’re happy, Eli. But there’s this tiny hesitation behind your smile. If I can see it… Arnold probably can too.” I froze for a second, then let out a dry chuckle. “That obvious, huh?” Nova nodded. “What are you scared of?” she asked, her voice low now, careful. The same question I’d been too afraid to say out loud. What was holding me back? It wasn’t that I doubted Arnold. He’d proven himself—again and again. But that fear still clung to me, whispering in the back of my head. That it would end like Ty did. That I’d give my all, only to be left when I least expected it.
