Bianca My breath hitches violently in my chest as an unexpected wave of panic crashes over me, dragging me down into its suffocating depths. For the first time Nikki actually looked like a normal teenage girl. "I don't blame you Nikki and I don't care. You were wise to speak as you did, but next time, not a word. If you're nothing but a spy then I'll be sure to show you how I punish traitors." Her eyes filled with fear again then she knelt to my chair.

**** Nikki's POV I strutted out of the woods, feeling the thrill of my plan coursing through me. Yes! I’m Nikki, the queen. I’d orchestrated this perfectly, and if everything went as planned, Hailey would rot in that hole, left to be nothing but a whisper in the trees. She’d dared to cross me, to steal what’s rightfully mine—my spotlight, my attention. No one messes with Nikki and walks away unharmed. Now, she will be food for the wild!

Unfortunately, that kind of act was not acceptable for Nikki which led to kicking not only Athena and her aunt but also Katie out of the pack. Katie was crying as she told me how the fearless Athena that she knew knelt and begged Nikki just to let Katie stay. A gesture that Katie felt guilty about until now. Nikki wouldn’t even budge or hear Katie or Athena’s side of the story. She didn’t even listen to Nori as he tried to explain that if I were awake, he was sure that I would not tolerate such an act. But Nikki was in so much pain and fear that she would lose me that she can’t be reason with me.

Do you want to go with me because.." She hung up what to say when she saw the trembling of its hand.

"She calmly demanded when inwardly, she wanted to grab unto his neck and slit it off. Had it not been because of the situation surrounding her stay here, she would have made all of them know their places and know never to cross her part but then- The fear of Lord Nikon was always one holding her back. But how long will it keep putting her at the edge and not allowing her to do whatsoever she wishes? How long would that fear keep letting people walking over her just like that when in reality- back in those days in New York- none of the men there had ever tried to get on her bad side in any form. Well, except Lord Nikon.

A faint smile broke out on Nikolas’s lips. “So I was right. You were thinking about me,” he said softly, making her blush more. Yet she didn’t look up at him much to his frustration. “Last time I wasn’t angry, I was scared at what lay ahead of us. I was nervous to disclose Brandon’s kidnapping to you. I was unsure about the rescue operation as well,” said Nikolas, staring at her for her reaction. Brooklyn gaped at him with surprise. She had no idea that he could be scared. But the question was why? Why would he be scared about her affairs? Why did he care?

Kira chuckled as she bent to the level of Nikki who was now unconscious and bleeding as she gave a little chuckle before looking around. People barely came here so she was safe. “Oh poor Nikki, look what being friends with Ariana has costed you. You could die here you know?” She asked as she burst into even more laughter.
