COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

As his finger brushed it, a fresh flower scent drifted by. Maya wobbled as she stood. She looked up at the bright threads. “Look! They reach all the way to the sky!” Far overhead, the lines grew thin and faded. Chapter 80: The War of the Two Worlds. Chapter 90: The Memory of the Lemon Tree. Chapter 99: The Final Door. Up at the very top, a single line beat like a heart. It wasn’t red or blue. It shone clear white—a diamond’s color. “Chapter 100,” Maya whispered, breathless. “But I can’t read the title. It’s too far.”

Rejected By The Alpha, Desired By The Immortal King

Rejected By The Alpha, Desired By The Immortal King

Just waiting. And Nyxara had just ripped the seal wide open. --- Something woke in the deep. Not with rage. With hunger. Like roots that remember blood. “We need to move,” I said. “You feel it too,” she replied. “Yes.” “You knew this would happen.” “I did.” “And you didn’t stop me.” “There’s no stopping a fire once it chooses to rise.” --- We reached a clearing just as the sky blackened. Not at night. With wings. Hundreds of crows screamed into the air, circling once before scattering—

Called by the Dragon

Called by the Dragon

“Tell me.” Her smile grew. “They call us crows. Because of the way we look, dark crow’s eyes, and dark hair, like their feathers. And because we’re also very, very good at knowing when there’s going to be blood. You can see flocks of them sometimes flying over to-be-battlefields because they recognize the signs. Swarms of them, all ready to scavenge.” “And you think you’re a crow now? Is that it?” She pushed the heel of her wrist against his chest, palm scraping against the edge of his shoulder collar. “Don’t tease,” she mock-warned. “Trust my instincts.”

The plot is thrilling from the start and I had to pace myself to avoid reading through the night. I often wanted to dive into the characters' minds myself to punch some sense into them, proof of how perfectly Mana designed them. This book deserves a thousand stars, not the mere five GN allows.

That was one epic adventure. The world was rich, detailed, full of amazing characters, and the story drew me in its tight grip and never let me go. I am a true fan of this author, it's characters, and it's story line. This was a true experience.

His Mate

His Mate

“Jackson?!” I had a bad feeling about this. I was all alone in a dark meadow field with nothing but the dozens of crows hovering above in a circle. I look up when one of the crows grew louder than the others. I could swear that the crow looked straight at me, it's large red eyes staring right through me as his crowing echos loudly in the open space. The crows then swoop down, heading for my direction. I close my eyes and shield my face from them, feeling their wings hitting me all over as I feel them fly right past me.

Alpha Twin's Rogue Mate

Alpha Twin's Rogue Mate

The whole room was filled with his laughter for a few seconds. “Who made you think I’ll kneel to anyone?” My heart was beating so fast. Not in a good way. But I was nervous for Alpha Kai’s sake at this point. He might even be cut off from limb to limb, burned alive, or skewered like a barbecue. That’s how barbaric these Red Crows are to their enemies. If the twin pack were horrible, they are not compared to how disgusting these crows hunt. They kill for fun. They kill because they wanted to.

Whispers of the Void What Lurks Beneath the Abyss

Whispers of the Void What Lurks Beneath the Abyss

I felt its gaze upon me, as it hungered for my blood. The figure slowly woke up, his crimson eyes stared upon me like a predator towards its prey. The crows stopped their cacophony, aware that their master was awake. His eyes opened wide, the red veins in them were visible from where I stood. He smiled in a maddened glee.

Eidolon Avenue: The First Feast

Eidolon Avenue: The First Feast

CHAPTER SEVEN We need to talk,” Evangelical had said, sudden, premature crow’s feet creasing the smooth corners as she narrowed her eyes. On Eidolon below, the crowd had grown. They stood, finding their forms. Heads tilted skyward. Arms hung, the fingers flexing into angry claws. Blood inched from between snarling teeth to spill over lips and drip onto chins.

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Between these pages muscle was devoured while bones were licked, chomped, munched. Foot torn from ankle. Shin snapped from knee. Thigh popped from hip. The tender meat of her toes nibbled. The sweeter flesh of her thighs gulped. The odd, wet warmth of unseen tongues lapping the empty, sobbing spaces that had been her legs. Between these pages her body was a feast. Her free hand pawed at the floor, the wooden planks slick and steaming with blood. The crimson shimmering, settling in the minute curves of the grain, listing in small waves before crashing between the planks to sink out of sight into the boards.

Once Upon An Alpha

Once Upon An Alpha

In her hands, she held a very beat-up copy of ‘Of Mice and Men. “Oh, Harriet! Thank you!” I squeezed my best friend before clutching the book to my chest. She grinned at me before she turned back to run back to where Matt was. I found my feet leading me back towards the creek. Away from the burned buildings, away from the chard remains of the carnival, and away from the dead. The thought of the packhouse was suffocating on a carefree regular day. Now there was over three times the amount of people shoved in there. For some reason, I felt like the creek was where I should be, like something in my gut was pulling me there.

This story is so good!! The author seems to put time and effort behind their characters!! And while peoples choices can be frustrating, baby beta looking at you, they all make sense with how the story is progressing and what’s happened! Couldn’t recommend this book enough!

I love this book. The author has created a wonderful world with well thought characters that I actually care about. The characters aren't perfect, they each have their own flaws and personalities. Each of them have grown in their own ways.

Contest of Crowns

Contest of Crowns

It was nearing the end of fall, so I guess it would be very cold for someone that was used to nothing but heat. We ate breakfast together at the far end of the ship, near one of the windows. The red-headed girl was sitting a few tables away from us, reading the folder of information we got like it was the holy bible, muttering what it said to herself. Tessa noticed that I had looked over at her. "Have you read it?" She asked. "No." I shrugged, putting down the cup of tea I had been drinking. "I overheard the other girls talk about it in the hallway, I got the recap of it."
