Rino hates to be deceived.” Anna says frantically before lowering her voice to a whisper. “Especially not when you run away with his child.”

I chase my six-year-old daughter out of the house on a cold winter day. I cut her new clothes to pieces and dirty her dainty little face with mud. Then, I give her all my savings.
