The pounding of paws broke through the forest like rolling thunder, and within moments the first wolves of the council’s hunting packs burst from the shadows of the narrow road. They looked like werewolves but had horns and large wings sprouting from their backs, giving them a terrifying and unnatural appearance.

With their guidance, we were able to end the war. It wasn't peaceful, but they've been able to hold the fort long enough to prove their power. They didn't mingle. Unmated and arrogant. I only met them once. They were princes, spoke less, and at some point they were rumoured to be dumb. Funny because I've heard their voices — husky, charming and seductive without putting in any effort. They were known as the formidable four. No one crossed them and went free. Merrick always wanted to have an opportunity to speak to them, but he was the lowest ranking alpha in the kingdom, and so he wasn't qualified.

We were first exposed by the massive wings that blocked the sun's rays until we caught the entire flying thing that appeared to be carrying Sir Ferns. "A massive brown caracal cat with pointed ears and golden wings! Wow!" Myra is described beautifully. "That's the fealin of a warrior. It's a fealin. Awesome!" In the background, Faey murmured. The intense urge to catch her was strong but he couldn't do that at the sacrifice of his men. "YOU MOTHERF*CKERS! GREET YOUR FATHER," Hunter snarled, charging at them. Both of his claws extended out as he slashed one of the men. Instead of tossing his body away, he ripped his insides out as blood spurts on his face but he was smiling. The looks on the faces of his enemies were magnificent. They looked terrified. Hunter's men shifted into their wolf form as they lunged at the enemies. Including Hunter, there were only four of them while the enemies were nine in number.
