His small hands clutched her fur, legs wrapped around her carefully. She slowed down when he leaned too far, then picked up speed again when he shouted, “Faster, Ayla! Bet you can’t catch us old man!” I laughed and jogged after them, even though they were miles ahead now. “Is that a challenge?” I called out, smirking. Freddy squealed. Ayla barked if wolves could laugh, I was pretty sure that’s what it was.
