She sucked in a breath when the woman lifted her head and her gaze pierced hers. The time sucked her once again and Freya’s world spiraled again. The claws, she feared didn’t come this time. Instead, she found herself in an unfamiliar landmass. A couple talked in the distance. A vampire female and a lycan. Once again, she couldn’t see the male clearly. The female, however, was beautiful. She had pale skin that resembled Reyna and looked so much like her.

After a few minutes more the candle lights came on again while the owls returned. I waited to watch in alert and zero seconds. The new vampires stood up in their immortal forms, all in a separate species from the other. They were all physically different. The first one looked very similar to the joker, only this one had fangs, longer nails, a deadly face that made him look like an angry bat, short, red-skinned, and a very huge head. I quickly recognized that one to be the night prowler. He was of the Yara-ma-yha-who breed. An ancient breed common in Japan.

She waves her hand over my face and I slip into a numb state of sleep. You see, females vampires are stronger than male vampires. It is believed that the first vampire was a woman. She pouted then trudged out of the room. Nadia widened her eyes as the man came closer to her. He lifted his own wrist to his mouth and chomped down. The sound of breaking skin sent a cringing shiver down her spine. Blood pooled from the prick and Damon offered her his wrist. Nadia instantly shook her head. “You’re delusional.” She retorted. Damon furrowed his brows. “Vampire blood heals little wolf.” He urged his wrist forward for her to take. “I’m not drinking that.” She pursed her lips.

AVA'S POV “For a queen you are, you're getting a bit too comfortable with these humans,” Rowan whispered, his breath tickling my skin and his voice husky and laced with a hint of warning. She placed hers in it, a little surprised at the coldness meeting her skin. "You are grieving. Your heart has been broken by the vampire," the Goddess' voice sounded ominous and powerful, suddenly coming from all around her. Diana's breath hitched in her throat. The Goddess wrapped her hand around hers, her sharp and black nails quickly sinking into Diana's skin like tiny blades, drawing blood. Diana let out a pained mewl, eyes widening with alarm.
