The Alpha's Cursed Bride

The Alpha's Cursed Bride

He said: "What are we in the fifth book." She said: "The people the fifth book is built from." He said: "The same as the first four books." She said: "The same real thing." He said: "Yes." She said: "Running toward." He said: "Yes." The garrison began to arrive at the outer gate. The sounds of the morning change, the specific acoustic he had been reading since he was old enough to read it, the movement of the household coming into its daily shape. He looked at the yard.

GIVEN TO THE WRONG ALPHA

GIVEN TO THE WRONG ALPHA

Lyana writes: Hinge Town — not outpost — yes. After the meeting, the children from Duskbane who came with us run to Hinge and press their ears to it, and the children who live here show them how to listen for the hoarse part that is still there if you listen low. Mara walks me to the edge of the clover field where the old mill fence used to be. The fence is gone. In its place is a low hedge of thorns that are blunt, like the Appalachian wall was, but with gaps just wide enough for a person to slip through sideways.

Tempting A Billionaire

Tempting A Billionaire

Meg’s voice screams over the walkie. I hold my breath. The Audi slams through the rusted guardrail and skids toward the cliff’s edge. The tires screech, grinding against rock and mud. Then— Silence. The headlights cut through the mist like searchlights. The car doesn’t fall. It stops. Right at the edge. Half of it is dangling. The other half was gripping desperately to the cliffside. Its front bumper twitches. The rear end sags dangerously. “Damn it,” I whisper. Meg’s voice comes through again, lower now. “He’s still alive.”

The Billionaire’s Last Hope

The Billionaire’s Last Hope

My eyes locked onto the tall metal fence in the distance. That had to be it. My way out. I moved fast, heart pounding, scanning for cameras, guards, anything that could stop me. The fence looked tall. Too tall. Probably had sensors or alarms. But I had to try. I reached it, fingers curling around the cold iron bars. I was about to climb when a voice stopped me cold. “What exactly are you looking for?” I froze. The blood drained from my face. Slowly, I turned. There he was. Kelvin.

Living with His Mark

Living with His Mark

I stand up and reach my hand to her which she reluctantly accepts then we are off to play with the pups. We must have played 150 games of duck duck goose. My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing. I sprawl out on the grass enjoying the feeling on my skin of the cool grass on this warm day. A loud howl is heard not too far into the woods then I receive a mindlink I have not received in months. ‘Rogues’ I turn to look at my fathers Gamma Grayson “Get the Pups, elderly and non-fighters into the safehouse.” “What about you?”

I wish I read this book before I read the 2nd book because the 2nd book isn't finished and hasn't been updated in awhile. If anything can go wrong in a story, it did in this book! The author had me glued to figure out how all these twists and turns were going to work themselves out. Must read!!

Fractured

Fractured

It presented itself as work. Selene saw it not as fabric now but as garden fence: not meant to exclude, meant to orient; harmed by neglect, not malice; demanding the dull faithfulness of maintenance and occasionally the bravery of repair under pressure. She could hear, under its tremor, a sound like a choir that has lost its pitch and strains toward the nearest loud voice. With a steadying breath, she offered a note—not brilliance, tone.

Bound by Blood

Bound by Blood

"But we have to get through the fence first." I reached to my belt, my fingers wrapping around the heavy wire cutters I’d taken from Kovac’s toolkit before we abandoned the transport. My arms felt like lead, but I forced the blades against the thick steel mesh of the fence. I squeezed. The metal snapped with a loud, metallic *clink* that felt echoing and deafening in the narrow space. One strand. Two strands. Three. I peeled back a jagged triangle of wire just large enough for a body to slip through. "Go," I told her.

All The Ways We Sin: A Diverse Collection of Erotica Tales

“…escape… outer fence… de.…” Escape. The word hit me hard. Unbelievably there was still talk of getting out. Real talk. Not Lena’s fairy tales, but something real I moved closer straining to hear more. But then my fucking foot caught on something. I stumbled barely catching myself on a crate. The wood made a sound that echoed loudly. The arguing stopped instantly.

The Final Defense

The Final Defense

My wife's student, Talon Palmer, hired someone to stab me, leaving me critically injured. In six years as an attorney, my wife Audrey Taylor had never lost a case. Yet she stayed up all night compiling nearly a hundred pages of trial materials, all to prove Talon innocent. I stood in the doorway for six straight hours, torturing myself as I watched her work. Finally, I asked hoarsely, "Why?" She didn't even look up. "You accused Talon of being the other man. All he did was ask that thug to pretend to be his brother and scare you. Everything that happened afterward was the thug's own doing. It had nothing to do with Talon." I shook my head in disbelief. Hysterical, I rushed forward and tr

Before I could address his cockiness, he left the office. I leaned on my desk. "He better not get himself fucking killed." I grumbled. Kale stood in between Cass and Dea's chairs. "Don't worry, dude. Luke knows what he's doing." "He better." I sit back in the chair. "Did we find anything on the fence?" Cass sat up in his chair. "There was a section of fencing that was powered down. The wires were cut." I looked at him confused. "How were they cut?"
