"I can't," I close my eyes, pressing my head back against the wall. Cole brushes his lips on my forehead and frowns. "Your fever is back. Come on." Axel was stunned. “Ah, fever... Wait, what? Fever?” He looked at Edson and then at the nurse. “Are you sure it's just a fever? Not some rare tropical disease? Organ failure?”

"As if I could leave the mansion," she retorted. A tiny smile twitched at the corner of his mouth, but the smile seemed weak because of his fever. The device beeped after a few moments, though I didn’t need to see the numbers to know it wasn’t good. Dr. Anderson’s expression grew darker as he turned to Aaron. "103.7," he said grimly. "This is severe. We’ll need to act quickly to bring it down before complications arise. I’d suggest an injection to stabilize her condition immediately."
