I was nineteen and already feeling like an idiot for drinking three cans of Coke the second I got to Fox’s place. His house was huge compared to mine, two stories with long hallways and way too many doors. Fox is a new kid at school, so it's my first time being to his place. We’d been gaming for a couple hours when my bladder started screaming at me. Fox was paused on some boss fight and just waved toward the hall without looking up. “Bathroom’s down there, man. Don’t get lost.”

She pouted. "What happened?" I asked her. "Where's Talaa?" "I'm not really sure about the reason, my dear. I was at the corner reading a book when they suddenly went wild," she explained with a terrified look on her face. "Especially that nine-tailed fox who keeps on whipping her tails on my poor little body." "That's my foxy," Cordelia lively uttered. She went near the white fox. "Come here, foxy." The fox was trying to escape from her arms, the moment its sharp claws scratched her face, her once lively face became very different.

Cassandra gulped. Darts of icy rain were still spitting from the sky. Each drop sat on Cheryl's skin like a cold puddle. Hardly focusing on her shivering frame, Cheryl walked over to the creature, whose red eyes strained so intently on the pale skin girl. Its dark red, almost burgundy fur was soaked and matted to its enormous body. She stooped down next to it. “Well, I'll be damned. Mom 'n dad was Fahkin' right.” (Well, I'll be damned. Mom and dad were fucking right). Cheryl muttered in complete disbelief.

Chapter 36 Foxy’s POV I’m no longer Sam. I feel it so clearly as we walk to the table where Alpha Blair and my old friend Micki are waiting. Sam would never betray Micki by hooking up with her fiancé behind her back. Shit. What was I thinking? I didn’t know that was for sure. And, of course, the Alpha didn’t resist me either. After hesitating for a moment, the Celestial Fox cautiously approached. Ambrose stood still, allowing the Celestial Fox to inch closer. The Celestial Fox was drawing nearer and nearer, and they would soon be able to capture it. But as it approached, the fox's nose twitched as it detected Ambrose's masculine scent. Its back arched, and its fur bristled with alarm. In a split second, Ambrose lunged forward, attempting to catch the fox. The Celestial Fox was lightning-fast. Sensing something was wrong, it swiftly changed direction and fled.

I know something they all don't. For a brief moment, I saw her shift uncomfortably in her seat as fear flashed in her eyes. This female definitely wasn't Athena, she one of the notorious 'Vixens', as they're fondly called. A gang of deadly, female, fox shifters. I've heard about them and their ability to take the physical form of anyone they wish. Just by watching the person and getting close to them, they are capable of shapeshifting totally into the person, stealing their identity. From how they speak to even how they smell, these foxes were very skillful at what they do. Though I don't think this one in particular is skillful enough.

Ichabod asked Harmony. “I don’t know, she said she had someone to help with my dreams and memory loss,” Harmony replied but was surprised as Ichabod stopped. “We are going to see a witch?” “No, a psychic.” “Still has the power of a witch? We call them witches, right?” “Well…I dunoo…” Harmony replied. “Are you guys coming?’ Vivian shouted to them as they were now close to a lonely cabin in the woods. “You should go on, I don’t think I can go with you…” Ichabod stated.

Now that we had some free time away from our skulking duties, we would go look for them and their party place on the weekends, and then we would transform into foxes and crash the party. Vix, my fox, let out a sound that was a cross between a snort and a cough. I was aware that she was giggling at the sight of the humans gathering in a circle to discuss what they had just seen. Much of my skulk were normal-looking foxes, either red, brown, or a reddish-brown tint. My mother and I both have a very white fur. According to my mother, the reason for this is that our bodies contain old DNA, and as a result, we are required to remain concealed. Vix and I did not share the same opinion.

"You really want to know?' Scarlet broke into a coquettish grin. Chu Xun nodded. "Then you have all the time in that cage to think," said Scarlet, her grin evaporating back into cold anger. "That's why they say 'as sly as a fox', I think. Look at how mercurial you are," Chu Xun commented with genuine interest. "You're the fox here! What a devious schemer!" Violet glared at him. "Wait, I thought you're foxes?" asked Chu Xun. "We're fox mutants. Not ordinary foxes."
