Jenna chuckled and hugged them tighter. Katherine watched the warm atmosphere and smiled. She suddenly wished she had a mother like Jenna. But her heart jumped when Archie suddenly sat beside her. Archie glanced at her and raised a brow. “You’re a timid bunny. How come you’re not afraid of Adan?” He chuckled and sipped his tea. Katherine sat straight, staring at Archie’s face. It’s like seeing an anime character alive. Archie noticed her gaze. When their eyes met, Katherine smiled. Archie raised a brow.

“Sorry about that. But if it makes you feel better, since we saw her now, Ryle won’t be going to her bedroom anymore.” Arden turned to Arianne, his eyebrow cocked. Arianne raised her hands in surrender. Arden rolled his eyes and faced Katie. Katie smiled reassuringly and pat her companions’ hand. “Arden, would it be alright if you give us a little privacy? Just for a few minutes.” Arden curled his lips and nodded, exhaling sharply. “Just call me when you’re done.” Arden stood and left, barely sparing another glance at Katie’s new companions. The others looked around cautiously and leaned conspiratorially toward Katie.
