When it felt like I was dozing off, u ordered two cups of caffeine to be delivered to my office so I could stay awake. I was sipping the last cup of caffeine when I heard footsteps running through the hallway, but I felt less concerned until my office door busted open. I looked back and saw Seth panting heavily... "What's chasing you, Seth?" I asked, dropping the cup of caffeine on my office table. "You need to check this out. The Alpha of the Poldark pack is about to go live in front of your company located on the east side," Seth said, rushing over to my side.

Sam walked the grounds of Versailles alone, trying to collect his thoughts. He walked down an ambling path, twisting and turning its way through perfectly trimmed hedges. Ever since he’d met Kendra, he had been able to think of little else. There was something about her: she was so young, and her skin was so smooth and flawless, and her aqua eyes completely hypnotized him. When she looked at him, with the full power of those eyes on him, he had been able to think of nothing else.

He set the kit down as he walked over to the shower, turning it on. "Take your pants off," he said as he kept his back towards me. "Callum," I snarled warningly. "Just take them off!" He shouted. I flinched, but I quickly concealed the subtle reaction with a huff of breath. Slipping my pants off, I stood there, waiting for his next command. He turned around and looked at me, his eyes finding their way to my legs but quickly shifting back up to my face. I walked over to him, glancing at the running water. "Now what?" I asked as I reverted my eyes towards him.

I took my time reading, and another hour went by. On finishing the third book, I realised I hadn’t read them in the right order. It seemed Finding the One was the first book, followed by The Claiming Rites, and then Under the Red Moon. This was a trilogy that needed to be read in the right order. I stared closely at the books and found the numbers on them written on each book from one to three, just like I arranged them. These numbers were written on the drawn-out full moon on the bottle right of the book’s front page, and, being set beside each other in the formal order, the full moon glowed.

I didn’t hesitate. I pulled Fifty Shades of Grey first (cliché, yes, but I needed an entry point), then The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice, Story of O, a slim volume called The New Topping Book just to balance it out, and two anthologies with titles like Bound Hearts and Surrender to Me. The stack felt heavy in my arms, like contraband. I carried them to the my corner and hid them under the table. I sat down, and opened the first book.

I slid my sexy watch and my sunglasses on and headed to my office. Just like usual, everyone smiled at me, mostly the sluts of the workspace but I ignored them like the plague. They are not beautiful as compared to my Julia. She is above everyone. She is like the first fresh breeze of spring that blows in the air which makes you all up. I was sitting in my office, going through some work files but every time i close my eyes, I see her walking into my life. She walked through that door in a red, deep plunge dress which revealed every curve of her body, making her irresistible to eat enough. I want to jump on her and claim my possession on her.

Chapter 5: The Midnight Pact The wind at the top of the Valerius Spire was a howling beast, tugging at the 30-inch silk of Elena’s hair as she stepped onto the helipad. The city of Aethelgard stretched out beneath her like a map of glowing veins, but her eyes were fixed on the man leaning against the railing. Dante Blackwood looked like he belonged to the night. His coat fluttered in the gale, and the glowing tip of a cigar moved as he turned to face her.

If he had not returned, I may just have jumped her here at the table. “Are you ready to order.” “We’ll take the chocolate cake with extra sauce.” I ordered without looking. I pulled the menu from her hand with my eyes fixed onto her. Gathered my own menu and held them up for him to take and disappear, quickly. “Excuse me.” She said as she took to her feet. I watched as she walked towards the bathroom. I smiled, knowing I may have had an influence on that. I could feel ‘dark’ Damian itching inside me to rip her clothes off. But I needed to stay levelheaded. I needed to keep control and not push her too quickly.
