Christopher was already wrapping his hands—precise, clean work, finger by finger.
“Say the anchors,” he told Aria.
Aria took out a small card and read slowly, calmly:
“One: you’re not alone.
Two: your breath is yours.
Three: the ropes are boundaries, not enemies.
Four: the first punch doesn’t matter—the last decision does.
Five: whoever came this far with you, you want to see them after the fight too.”
Kai nodded at each line. He didn’t repeat it, just listened. The wrap settled into place. Aria pulled on the gloves—tight, but not cruel.
