I stared at him, an unexplainable sadness stirring within me. "Then, would you be willing to become my fated mate?" I asked. He froze, surprised by my sudden question. He fell silent. I knew then that he was hesitating, struggling. He only desired to keep me as a toy, but he wasn’t willing to pay the ultimate price. "What? Not willing?" I laughed, "Your ‘love’ is worthless after all." "James, stop insulting me with your hypocrisy." I said coldly, turning to leave. "Emily!" He called out urgently, "Don’t be so unreasonable! I’ve humbled myself; what more do you want?"

I, on the other hand, just go with the flow because I don't want to say anything weird because we might just get caught. Patry's statement that he would treat us to a movie theater was true. We bought popcorn again and Patry will take care of the movie tickets. Our chosen movie is an action-fantasy movie. The title is Eternality. There wasn't much of a queue so we got in right away. Sera and Patry are now sitting beside me inside this cinema. Sera is on my right side while Patry is on my left. The movie hasn't started yet so the lights are still on.

I took a bite of my salad, my gaze trained on Matt’s animated face as he described his favorite movie to me. He’d been going on about it since we first sat down, more than a little affronted when he found out that I’d never seen Predator. Not that I minded. I could listen to him talk for hours. Especially about the things he loved. He got this light in his eyes, and I couldn’t look away. “I’m sorry,” he said, putting down his fork. “I’m rambling.”

Matt opposed when she decided to play the movie but she still insisted on it, she just can't get enough of watching the movie all over again so in the end, Matt let her be. "I hate seeing you cry. I couldn't even understand why you still watch that movie over and over again? We've watched that a lot of times Bea and I can even deliver the lines for Pete's sake!" He argued that made her chuckle. "Why can't you appreciate a good and romantic movie?" She replied in between snorts while wiping her tears with the tissue she was holding. "I do, it was a good movie, okay? But watching it all over again Bea? It makes me bored already." He reasoned out.

Riley asked and I nodded "Yeah sorry, I spaced out for a bit" I murmured and they nodded "so what movie are we watching?" "Dunkirk" Monica replied and the guys rolled their eyes marking me chuckle. I heard about the movie, its based on world war 2 I think and it has that guy from one direction in it. Heard it's supposed to be good and I'm sure Bennett would be happy to go see since he has talking about it ever since it was first mentioned. I heard him once talking with his friends in school before I knew we were mates that he couldn't wait until it came out and as of now I don't think he's seen it yet and I hope he hasn't yet because then it's suck because I wanted to see it with him.

She winked. Mateo chuckled again, “Maybe it is, but that’s also every Marvel supervillain – isn’t it?” He asked. Faith narrowed her eyes at him, “And I thought you didn’t like movies.” She huffed. Mateo laughed, “I don’t. I don’t watch them either, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know about them. Those movies are pretty famous, I am sure everyone has heard of them.” He said defensively.

Since Mr Tom said those words, his mind has been racing and developing scenarios in his head. There were so many “what ifs” going on his mind, he removed his hat and walked towards his own car. ************* Matilda could be mistaken for a statue at this point, she's been watching Jaden go through files for over 20 minutes. Her desk is a few metres away from her, but she dared not go to sit while her boss was there. His muscles flexed as he held files and was flipping through them, the way his fingers moved swiftly, with his arched eyebrows which signified he was so focused on what he was doing.

I found a beautiful rock formation a bit higher up and got comfortable laying on them staring at the moon. It was peaceful.

My palm turned clammy but I managed a wobbly smile. “Good morning.” I greeted the room. They responded stiffly and my mother nodded to Agatha, dismissing her with the flick of her finger. Agatha was reluctant to leave as shown in the few seconds she her fingers lingered on my wheelchair. “Since we're all here, I think I'll dive right into it.” Marcus spoke up. His voice was deep and monotonous and he stared down his nose at me. I dug my nails into my palms, my breaths coming in short puffs. Ever since the incident, being under scrutiny always made me feel small and useless.

"I still don't understand why they keep staring at each other instead of talking," Matias complained through a mouthful of cheese popcorn. "Because that's the entire point." "It makes no sense."
