Novel & Cerita Find Me A Book To Read

Reading books has been my therapy lately. "Let's get to it," I mumbled before I started searching the shelf to find a book to keep me busy, and I finally found one, 'Promises Are Made To Be Broken' by Cha Cha, a Nigerian author. Although it was my first time checking this book out, but I trust her work to always come out good, because I've read some of her books in recent days and found them all interesting. I had no idea why her books are here on the royal shelf, well, that wasn't my problem though.

"I won't even ask where it came from" We eat, then sit in the living room beside the fire reading. There's a shelf with books, all kinds of books and Carla said she wanted me to read to her. The last time I read anything was back in college. Other than the comments on my I*******m, I don't read. Later when she's asleep, I pick a novel. Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. It looks interesting so I settle down and read it.

I chuckled, she must be hungry and I don't have the heart to wake her up unless she wakes up herself. I picked up the book I was reading. It's a motivational book titled 'FINDING MYSELF'. After the birth of my child, I was so down that I thought I had everything under control. I almost lost myself in the whole thing. I was glad I have Martha and Bella who helped me out through the whole process.

Joshua let out a light laugh, making it clear that he expected a different kind of question, maybe about his business or something else, but he kindly answered my question. "Well, when I'm not working, I like to read." I smiled, feeling more at ease. "I like reading too. What's your favorite book?" "Hm, hard to choose just one. But I'd say '1984' by George Orwell is one of the ones that left the most impact on me." "No way! I love that book!" I was surprised by the connection that had arisen between us. Maybe I had judged Joshua unfairly. "Really? That's cool!" Joshua smiled, and I realized he had a very nice smile. "Who would've thought we'd have that in common, right?"

It was also getting late as well, but my determination was stronger than any type of disappointment. Flipping through the stacks of books I had found, I stopped at an eye-catching book. It was a glossy red cover and it was titled, “The Red String of Fate”. I don’t know what it was about it, but it drew me to it more than I’ve ever known. It wouldn’t hurt to read it, right? If I was on the right track, it might tell me something about those two.

I needed a distraction, something to occupy my mind and make me forget about all the troubles and worries that plagued me. I looked around the room, searching for something to do, and my eyes landed on the stack of books I had collected over the years. I hadn't read any of them in a while, but now seemed like the perfect time to dive into one of them. I walked over to the bookshelf and ran my fingers over the spines, trying to decide which one to pick.

I frowned, “Alright, thanks.” Making my way to the library, I went to the nonfiction area and began my search. If I could find what I was looking for here, then I'd be happy. I pulled one book out and glanced at it. It read, ‘Politics’, it wasn't what I wanted so I dropped it back. I pulled another one out and was about how to buy your time, authored by Dan Martell.

I looked around in amazement. "I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for here, and if you need anything, you will find me in the kitchen." I thanked her, waiting for her to leave before I made my way over to the books, running my hand along them, siming the names as I did. There were millions of books in here, more than any one person could ever read in a lifetime, as I walked along, being overwhelmed by it all. I felt something calling to me, drawing me to a book that was shoved down the bottom of one of the shelves. I picked it up, dusting it off. It was ancient and looked like it hadn't been touched in years. I ran my hand over it, feeling the book drawing me to it, flipping open the c
