Find Me A Book To Read Novels & Stories

She shoots me a glare as I pin against the shelf, staring at her since I have nothing to do. "Stop staring at me and find a book for yourself. You distract me," she shrugs but I still stare at her. "You're impossible. Tell me which books you have read so far, so I can find anything similar to that for you" "Well," I twitch my lips. "Zero to One, Atomic Habits, Rich dad poor dad, Black Swan and many more," I say and find her squinting at me, parting her pretty lips. She's surprised and she looks fucking adorable that I want to slam her against the shelf right now and kiss the hell out of her. The entire day was torture for me not to kiss her.

And honestly, I wasn’t ready to face what he wanted just yet. I turn the page of the Alley Ciz book I'm reading and get lost for a few minutes reading Jase and Melody's love story. Trying my best to not burst into laughter at the antics of the characters. That author has a way with words. Drawing you in until you feel like you are part of the story. She's one of my new favorite authors. I have no shame in saying I stalked her on social media. Reading is one of the best ways I know of to remove myself from all the drama around me, a chance for me to reset my mind. My name is called, and I place my bookmark and put it in my purse.

I fold my legs beneath me, and bring out my phone. A book can keep my awake so I surf the internet. Quickly I see a lot of fantasy books, but I’ve never really gravitated towards those. I don’t know what pushes me though. Maybe I’m just tired of being oblivious or my mother’s thesis, or the strange recurrences, I click on the first book I see and buy it. It takes only a second. I scroll past the forward and settle on the first chapter.

I reply. Mia nods and sits down on the chair. I look inside my bag and pull out a book I found the other day in the food court. Somebody left it there. The title is The Red Badge of Courage. I think it's a classic in American literature? I don't know. It's interesting is all I know.

I wish Stella was here to give me advice on what to do with these guys, although Mac is there for me, she sometimes doesn't understand. Once I arrive home, I decide to take another shower since the one I had with Korey earlier didn't count. After freshening up, I head downstairs to grab a bite to eat before retreating to my room for some much-needed reading time. It's been a while since I've had the chance to indulge in a book, so I pick up my favorite one - Nora Roberts' "Northern Lights." The protagonist in the story reminds me a bit of myself, which adds to my enjoyment.
