Avery couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy as she recalled the girl's flawless features as if they were carved by a skilled sculptor. Maybe that girl can help me with my skin routine so I can be favored by Finn’s uncle. She thought to herself. There was no need for her to remain in South Africa, so he packed her things and thought of a story to tell her dad. Meanwhile, Finn boarded the next available plane and headed back to New York City. Upon arriving, he went straight to his grandfather’s study. After knocking a couple of times, the old man ordered him to come in. He stood tall while the old man sat comfortably in his chair.

Luckily the fridge had been stocked with anything a person could ever ask for so Em and the girls all grabbed bottled water and downed them. “Who comes to a party and drinks water”. Em heard a shrill like voice behind her. The person talking either didn’t realize their volume or else they didn’t care that they were heard. They all turned around to see Finley standing there with a group of girls laughing. “Oh you’ve got to be kidding me” Aspen was the first to speak. “Oh sweetie,”. Finley looked straight at Aspen. Wow her voice was annoying. “You know the boys will never accept you as long as you hang out with these losers.” Finley laughed as if she was the biggest comedian on the planet.

He just took a bullet that saved your life and could have ended his, and you speak of him with such disgust. Why? Because he is Noah's brother?" Finn asks, as his eyes scan the tree line. “Yes! It was a girl” His hands point towards the trees. “She had a shoulder satchel on and looked as normal as can be,” He pauses, “I only saw her for a few seconds…. Blonde. I think she was blonde,” he says, his face twisting as he tries to remember. I look at Finn and shake my head as I walk back to the car, “Come on, we don’t want to be late.” “But Kane,” Finn gasps, “What if she needs help? What if she’s hurt? It’s our duty as protectors to help her!”

This wasn’t the time for sympathy. We needed answers, and we needed them now. “What’s your name?” I asked, my tone still cold, but softer than before. He hesitated, as if revealing this final piece of information would seal his fate. “Finn,” he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. “My name is Finn.” “And your sister?” Rowan asked, his voice still low and dangerous. “Mara,” Finn replied. “She’s younger than me. She’s… she’s just a kid. Please, I’m begging you, don’t let them hurt her. I’ll do anything. I’ll help you. I’ll fight. Just… please.”

Finn was the obstacle on their path of romance, he sadly contemplated. He lowered his voice and sighed deeply, and his mood followed suit, sinking into a profound sadness. By the time Keelin returned with the porridge she had prepared for Annie, she walked in on a scene where Annie was peacefully asleep on the bed and Finn sat there in silent contemplation, his complexion ashen, as if he had just experienced an enormous shock in his life.
