Knowing my father had backup, I leaped into the fray, trying to find my mate in the mayhem. An invisible thread guided me past duels on either side. I yanked a Red Fang wolf off of Zane, allowing him to dig his sword into the wolf before I veered toward the sidelines. Fire was everywhere, and it felt as if its only purpose was to burn. Both sides started to stop fighting to escape the fire, which blazed hotter and hotter as time passed. This wasn’t a controlled hit; it was a wildfire with its only intent to destroy and conquer.

Before I could complete my words, Zac ran his dagger through Fist's stomach and twisted it, letting the silver make more and more contact with his inner skin. "Arrrgh!" Fist shouted out in pain as he held the sword impaled into him. "NOO!!!" I screamed. I was about to rush to help him when he turned to me with a smile and brought out something from within his shirt. It was a bomb detonator. He was going to blow himself up. "Fist," I muttered as I made to go towards him, but before I could take a step, he pressed the button on the detonator, and a loud flash of light blinded me as some strong force pushed me to the ground, causing me to black out.

--- The Firestarter Fiona and Darwin were deep in strategy when the explosion ripped through the building. A deafening roar. Glass shattering. Flames erupting. The force sent Fiona flying backward. Heat rushed over her skin, smoke billowing instantly. Her ears rang, the world tilting sideways as she gasped for breath. Darwin was already moving. He grabbed her, yanking her down behind the overturned coffee table as debris rained around them. Thalassa’s voice crackled over the comms, panicked. “Fiona! Darwin! What the hell just happened?!”

Even in a deadly battle in his arms was my favourite place to be. “Have I ever told you you’re stubborn!” He nibbles on my ear, taking a brief moment to intake my scent to calm his wolf. “No, I don’t think you have!” I do the same, his scent helping to calm me also. “Enough! This has gone on long enough.” Fiona’s frustration shows through her tone of voice. “You will both die together!” She creates a small fire-bomb in the palm of her hands and catapults it at us. Lance doesn’t move until the very last moment, not keeping his eyes off it. As he tumbles us to the ground we break apart. I rush towards him as another fire-ball flies at us and he manages to dive out of its way.

Serena’s hands lifted instinctively, the flames answering her unspoken command. It started small—a flicker, a spark in the underbrush near the nearest scout. Panic sparked in his eyes as the fire licked toward him, hungry, alive. Another step, and a second burst ignited, precise, deliberate, a warning turned weapon. Serena realized with a cold, sharp thrill: she was no longer prey. She was predator. The moment came suddenly—a scout lunged, and instinct overtook thought. Her hands exploded with controlled fire, a wave that threw him backward, screaming. The others tried to respond, but panic shattered their formation.

He gripped the boat's steering wheel with one hand and picked up his rifle with the other. A rain of bullets began to pour from the speedboats behind us. Small fountains of water erupted where the bullets struck the surface. ​Lucas pushed the boat to its maximum speed. It skipped over the waves with violent jolts. With every shudder, my heart felt like it was tearing apart. Lucas turned occasionally to fire back. With his perfect aim, one of the speedboats' engines caught fire and exploded into a massive fireball within seconds. But the remaining two boats refused to give up the chase.

Cassie felt the power within her awaken, and for the first time she did not fight it. She closed her eyes. And fire erupted from her fingertips.

I whispered to Kieran when he stumbled. He managed a weak smile. "Are you giving me orders now?" My throat closed up. "Don't you dare leave me." His eyes found mine. Still that warm brown, even dim as they were. "Wasn't planning on it." The red pulse behind us got faster. Angrier. The whole tunnel shook, and a crack split the floor ahead. Fire shot out like a snake's tongue, cutting across our path. The girl screamed and jumped back. I threw my hand out without thinking. White-gold fire burst from my palm, slamming into the red stream. They fought each other, hissing and spitting. My legs shook, but I pushed harder until the molten stream bent away, pouring into the dark instead of blocking

And of course, questions that lead to news of the affair that dragged her name and reputation, must be confirmed immediately. The beautiful girl had a shocking clarification in store plus a fact that would shock many, at the right time. Once she launched a bullet, one person fell and could not dodge it easily. Though the other one she had made sure was helpless but it turned out to spark a fire. Ah... that person should have known that if he provoked Celine's emotions, it would not only be a collapse. But all the losses that are so great will lurk. Celine was very impatient but really... she had to restrain herself.
