This was all out war. Someone decided to pick a fight with the Gentry. And by Fos, they were winning.

The aura emitted hues of obsidian miasma, and from within multiple hollowed construct emerged, they took the form of humanoid entities and revealed the people and deities he has killed in battle. Like he already knew. Daniel noticed. "You've heard of them." Elias looked toward him. His expression carried old pain. The kind that never truly healed. "Yes." Silence followed. Then Elias spoke. "The first synchronization war wasn't fought between soldiers." Nobody moved. "The first victims were children." The room became deathly quiet.

Hale said over the line. Victor got onto the head of his snake. Agira didn’t get on his oversized cat. He didn’t need to. They were closer now. “Now!” There were four voices. He was sure that was the voices of the generals. Victor took off with the other two, on top of their animals with their subjects following them. And when both sides collided that was when the war began. Weapons clashing, Victor shooting his lasers out of his snake’s mouth and no one ever knew they could move in directions like that. In patterns and in zigzag. He really did need those glasses after all.

Scarlett stood up, her Stellar Navigator pulsing at her hip. "Good," Scarlett said, her voice echoing with the weight of an absolute ruler. "Now get up. The Gods will send more than a vanguard next time. And I need you to start building factories." The mortals thought they had surrendered to an Empress. They didn't realize they had just been drafted into the first Interstellar War.

Her face looked older and she was standing in a place that looked like a dungeon. Right there in the dungeon was a woman. She was bound and she looked tainted.
