The First One

The First One

The First One sat on the beach and stared at the violent waves of the ocean as he deliberated. The killings had stopped but not for long. Officer Muhammad and Maryam must die in order to protect his real identity. The trip to Lagos had been taken for the main purpose of relaxing and approaching matters from a psychological point because where violence fails, logic is born. It had not been easy approaching the men running things at work and asking for some few days off but the greatest weapon in The First One arsenal was the power of persuasion.

The One He Never Put First.

The One He Never Put First.

Aaron hastily checked his watch as he hurried onto the elevator to go to his office. He had to be back at the hospital. He'd hated not being there when she woke up but he needed to sort a few things out at the office. He was going to make his way there soon after. But what he hadn't been expecting was a full office that morning. It was too early he'd thought. Aaron owned the whole building but only a few people were permitted on his office level, the highest level. And that list didn't have more than 5 people on it.

Step One; Don't Fall

Step One; Don't Fall

“I know, Dad. Tell her I’ll be home soon. But this is the best way to handle something like this. I’ve already got missions pulling me into this area every few days anyway, so might as well move somethings over. Plus this mission is just to stake it out properly and watch until I know exactly what the guy’s doing, then I kill him when the meal is hot. Rushing it now would be sloppy.” There’s a pause on the other end. I can picture the great Christopher Carter rubbing his temple the way he always did when he’s weighing the risks of my job. “Fine. But don’t get comfortable. This isn’t a vacation.” “I know, daddy,” I reply, ending the call.

This is such an interesting book, and the characters are really good. Jane is that one friend anybody should have, and then Elara who was called barren was finally going to be having her baby. It's a pity her husband had to cheat on her with her step sister. Overall the story is really good.

Honestly I love that she had a friend like Jane, I love her personality. I love how I could feel every emotion you tried to put into words and everything played like a movie in my thoughts. This is such a good read. Kudos dear author...️

My own hands are shaking, but at least they’re doing something. Duty first. Panic later.
