Kimberly’s eyes fluttered weakly as she slowly regained consciousness, but the moment she attempted to open them fully, a harsh, blinding light forced her to shut them again almost immediately. The brightness felt overwhelming, almost painful, as though her senses were struggling to catch up with reality. What’s that?
